  2. sure if you asked the guy on e-bay he would tell you that... second thoughts get 10 and the "supercharged" intake, you'll be able to beat mac then
  3. this guy is such a ********************************************************** if it were up to me the fooker could have been left to , well im sure you get the idea... im sure one 74 y/o pensioner can solve all the problems of that reason on hope and his bus pass! anyways think i should get off the fence before my a$$ gets sore
  4. run flats give a REALLY hard ride, so if your zed is slightly lowered / poly bushed etc to firm up the ride you will need a spinal board when you get out on run flats.!! you also need some sort of electrical warning fitted to let you know if the tyre has gone flat as it is difficult to tell on run flats. A friend of mine had them on his cooper s works, and to be honest he hated them from the off. When he swapped them for decent tyres was more impressed with handling and ride...

  7. definalty worth putting the time in to find a decent zed, and you never know someone here might be selling one, at least that way you can search and find a bit of history on the car, and people here tend to look after their zed the way it needs. Took me a few months to find a car i was happy with, worth being picky as funkysi said

  11. washed and polished the zed!! sparkly clean now! :nana2:
  12. guys i had exactly the same problems recently. I was told MAF, TPS or CAS. I just took my time, cleaned the contacts for each of these and resecured each of the looms, and the problem went away striaght away! I think it was probably the TPS as the contacts in there were a bit "mucky" and the rest looked fine, but i gave all of them a spray with contact cleaner anyway! Hope this helps
  13. DEl F10, F11, F1, Ctrl Alt & S really depends on motherboard make. Once you have got into the bios you shoudl be able to see if the fan is spinning anyway, and also most modern boards give a temperature of the CPU.
  14. cheers mate, looks like it will be a job worth doing.. seems few corners been cut by the last installer.... out with the old bose stuff tomorrow
  15. arr, i can still bin it then as im running after market amps, how do i get into the pocket to get rid of it? Any other little bits that might be left hiding away in the car I can get rid off..
  16. mine didnt even go above 45 today, although its the first time ive managed to get it working as the last guy gave up half way through fitting. Im thinking the sender wire isnt connected properly somewhere or has a dodgy join in it...
  17. When sorting out my rear speaker (drivers side uk car) I noticed a big silver disc with clarion stamped on it. Im guessing it was the old electric aerial? If it is how do you get the boot speaker pocket off? I had a look but it wasnt immediatly obvious how to get it off to get access to this disc thingy..
  18. cheers for all the help guys, think it was probably the Throttle position sensor. Cleaned all the contacts on throttle pos, cas and pretty much anyother one i could get at and the car runs great :nana2: :nana2: :nana2: ONce again cheers all for the suggestions
  19. bantam keeps teasing us with the promise of this pic lol, think we should call her bluff...
  20. more like a rally car sound, love that sound!!
  21. mate, you mind me asking how much they cost? really like that look
  22. noticed these things for the first time recently, was wondering what they were for...
  23. and as for checking tps voltage? the TPS is the bit on the righthand throttle body as you look from the front of the engine, 3 wires coming out of it i think.. which one to check and what sort of voltage / throttle posisiton am i looking for? guessing its a +ve im looking for and earth the other bit of the multimeter?
  24. not sure if its just wot or the boost to be honest, thing is by the time ive got wot the boost is already climbing fast, then the huge hesitation and the revs drop/climb/drop/climb around 4-5k. Thing is the car drives absolutly fine at other throttle positions. Going to try a different maf this weekend, although starting to think its not that. I will be going round the bonnet cleaning all the contacts then, but what with... not a huge fan of sanding away too much corruption, but if electrical contact cleaner not the way forward what is the best way? Cheers for all the help on this guys...
