Please tell me you're not going to rose cliston???? I've been down to Newquay every year and the one year i stopped there was truly awful. Kept up till 4am every night with rave music the smell of sick and beer in the air. The best one i ever went to was in gwithian by the gwithian bay, just over the dunes from the beach, £6 a night and only about 20 tents on the whole site. I think it was church town holiday park: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&safe=active&client=firefox-a&ei=MZ56St-5MdLK_gadr_DWAg&q=campsite&ie=UTF8&radius=0.05&sll=50.222357,-5.386147&sspn=0.001004,0.00232&rq=1&ev=p&ll=50.222196,-5.385996&spn=0.001004,0.00232&t=h&z=19&iwloc=C Be prepared for chavs...
  2. These guys looked pretty good up in scotland and as it's one wheel you could post it up without the tyre i would have thought. http://www.alloywheelrepairs.net/ Seems the most cost effective way to do it. Even if you manage to get a spare wheel for a couple of hundred you've still got get it machined out, pulled apart, the centres polished and then reseal with new bolts so that's at least £300-350+
  3. Is that not the guy who won big borther a few years ago?
  4. you have to be f***ing kidding me
  5. lol, happy birthday buddy :D
  6. The idea is when i move to fuel injection next year instead of carb i can program the map to open/close the valves under different programs (ie town, motorway, sport, race) but i'll just be using it for a quiet stretch of road/drag track, push the button and all hell breaks loose :D
  7. Mine will be pretty similar to John Dixon's set up, a variable control inside to select the position of the valves although i was thinking of the idea of linking it to the throttle but could prove quite annoying if you're opening and closing all the time. Baffles seems to be the way forward leigh, definately the cheapest option. If not i have a stock LWB TT exhaust sitting down the side of the house you can have?
  8. The only experience i ever had was riding to work in my mate's 1.1 which was woefully slow so i never expected to be so entertained. I drive 70 miles a day in mine and it's fine on the motorway really and suprisingly quiet especially with the radio on. The 38mpg i get is an average of storming it up the country roads and motorway journeys. I haven't really done a test to see how far i can get on one tank by driving it carefully but it should do at least 45+mpg
  9. Well I can't complain about the Metro GTi i have, half leather, leccy windows, 100bhp in a 800kg car and 38+mpg even with a bit of foot down action and all for £400 with tax and test
  10. I've got 4 silencers each side going on the V8 and a set of exhaust bypass valves for "off road use" :D
  11. Not sure but i've got a bit of work to do on my V8 to make sure it passes. My silver zed has straight through pipes without anything before the rear boxes and that passes year after year so i think you should be alright. Is it a shorty or LWB?
  12. This is what one of them looked like when i first got it and had it repaired mate so i think you should be able to get that rim repaired before you decide to chuck it. Also i'd get it up on its side before the metal deteriates and you have to strip and repolish them again and that was about £200 and lots of hours.
  13. I was trying to work out what dumb ass brought this thread up
  14. Happy birthday andy, hope you have a good one :D
  15. Yep, http://www.speedlinecorse.co.uk/ Up until last year they were still listing it as a product so you should still be able to get the rims i would think but they won't be cheap :-( Replacement stainless steel rim covers for my Antera 309's are £200 a piece! :headvswal Are they not weldable? One of the rears was bent back on itself when i got it and i had it heated, bent and welded by a guy in worcester and the wheel balanced fine afterwards
  16. ...or you'd get ran into when it's foggy
  17. Happy birthday buddy, hope you have a corker  :duffer: :D
  18. I would say email speedline themselves. The wheels are ex catalogue now but they should be able to point you in the direction of a european dealer
  19. Well they said they'd be back in november to me when i was there this week so definately not the end of top gear
  20. Zed could be a squeeze i have 2 exhaust systems, all the components for the engine etc in the garage so you might have to park up on the driveway instead, sorry dude :D
  21. pmsl  yep finished the move today, i'm shattered and need a week off work methinks!
  22. There's some room between the engine stand and the workbench if you? Now the gas fire's in there to so you should be lovely and cosy in there, shall we say £50 quid a week? :D
  23. Cheers guys well i'll be organising a few club BBQs there soon if the weather ever picks up again and i'll post up some pics soon of the rest of the house
