  1. I thought i was diabetic but i changed a few things in my diet and it sorted it out. Firstly i found i was intollerent to yeast, i'd wake up groggy and have all the feelings of a hangover without drinking and the nutritionist told me it was the amount of sugar i took in mixed with the yeast that had multiplied in my body and turned to alchohol in my guts then got absorbed in my blood stream. Cut out yeast entirely for a month and felt amazing after a couple of weeks! Harder than you may think but you can just cut down and see how that goes. I don't eat sandwiches just wraps now and i drink spirits instead of beer and it works out fine. The toilet thing i found if i don't drink for the last hour and a bit before bed i can sleep right through without having to get up in the night so no late night drinks. Try it and see what happens buddy
  2. It looked very stock and i never messed around with it but it was incredibly quick for a non-turbo. It's not a case of thinking "this is a quick for an mr2" we actually timed it just to see how quick it was and it was always about 6 seconds dead using the gps as a source for the speedo as well. It was a 91 plate, the 168bhp one before they choked it to death with all the emission regs on the exhaust. Sounds like i'd be very disappointed if i owned another one then?
  3. Flip me, that's heavy - the tremek i've just put in weighs 105lb (47kg) so overall thats a saving of 31kg over stock block + box plus no aircon pump at 10kg. So that should take my kerbweight down from 1530kg down to 1489kg :D So at 450bhp that give me just shy of 300bhp per tonne :hyper:
  4. lol, nope definatly an MR2  Best car i ever owned and i was gutted to sell it when i went back to uni for my final year :( As much as i love my zed's (on to number 4 now) i do miss my MR2 and i wish i had it back
  5. Nope seriously we got the stopwatch on it because i couldn't believe it myself. Completely stock as well :D You had to rev them to get the power but when it hit the power band and the engine note changed it sounded great. Lovely car :D
  6. MR2 GTi is more than enough buddy, in the wet the turbos are lethal. Every person i've known has either crashed or written there's off in less than a month of buying it. I had a GTi for a year, it had 144k on the clock, hit 60 in 6 second dead every time, sounded fantastic, was comfy on the motorway and handled like a dream. Plus the bonus was i used to get about 34-40mpg on the motorway :D I'm planning on buying another one next year for my day to day commute to put a smile on my face
  7. I'd be interested to know for the latest project
  8. Lovely looking zed, and love that bumper :D You'll hate what i'm doing tonight then....
  9. I'm addicted to reggae reggae ketchup at the moment - yum yum :D
  10. Great stuff mate, looks like it's coming on leaps and bounds! :D Following with interest as always :)
  11. Looking forward to it buddy! :D Plenty to show you when you come down and hopefully alot more done by the time you get down here :hyper: Cheers buddy! :D I'll add some more photos tomorrow when the pillar pod is in and the interior's done
  12. Blimey what a weekend! Well I decided to get the interior finished on the V8 before i start work on the water/oil/fuel side of things. First job was to sort out the gearlever, the gearbox sat a little bit too far forward so i had to make up an extender to get the gear lever to meet up with the leather gator. I ground the lever down a little (still a bit more to do later on when i have time and the car's on the road) and fitted everything and hooray, one gear lever sorted out. Next job was feed through some wires from the bulkhead to the centre console and label up each end so i know what it's all supposed to connect to the other end. A lot of soldering later i finally got the power all sorted out and the gauges lit up. Hazards worked but the indicator stalk wasn't working, neither were the leccy windows, no power to the entire car on position 2 on the key. Alarm wasn't working either SO time to rip out the old alarm and bypass everything until i have time to fit the new alarm. It was getting a bit dark in the garage and soldering is not the easiest thing to do in the dark so had to give up for today but all wires are connected to the main display and we have life! :hyper: Just got to wire in the last 3 gauges and install the piller pod and then everything can go back in
  13. Looks like you got a bit of a bargain there buddy, a nice straight example :D Welcome to the club!
  14. Definately worth over 25k easily
  15. Can't beat it really, still looks fresh even now :)
  16. pmsl  now that's impressive, i thought i was bad at having a rear valance that's been sitting there for 2 years! Still waiting to hear off the owner as to what he wants to do with it
  17. You can just about see it on this photo: Mine's already done unfortunately and it's such a good job i daren't get rid of it. The only problem with that is i can't have a purple car with red leather interior  Looks like black, silver and grey are the only options!
  18. I know you can, i mean as in usually most people just have flat unperforated leather on their retrims and he's done something a little bit different like removing the side repeaters too. Just subtle things i like about that car
  19. I would say £6000 is about right but that's Tariq for you mate, he's a bit unrealistic with his prices. He managed to blag selling a print of the queen he found in his dad's garage worth about £2 on ebay to an american for £350! Total blagger but tbh he suprised me how much effort he'd put into this zed, he hasn't skimped on anything as such apart from cleaning the engine bay when i saw it but it had only just come back from the bodyshop at that point. Even the seat upholstery he'd had the little air holes put in all the centre sections, really modernised the seats and made me a bit jealous lol The car is most definately sound but the price is too much
  20. Seriously the rest of the car is just fine and in the flesh the paintwork is pretty awesome. As legrath says, get the replacement wide arse bumper and for all the finicky people on here that would sort it out. I hadn't even noticed tbh when i saw it in the flesh, it looked fine to me. Probably one of the nicest one off zeds i've seen in the flesh and love those wheels.
  21. Some better pics: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=126382
  22. That's tariq's car, the one i posted the pictures up of a while ago? The workmanship on the body is absolutely superb and the seats are to die for. Can't believe he's selling it though! :headvswal
  23. awesome! :hyper: cheers for thati didn't even know!
