  1. You're lucky matey, that's a bargain compared to what i had to pay for the last time i went to the opticians. Including the test, a glaucoma test my two oakley frames and standard/tinted lenses it cost me £450
  2. Jesus H Christ, if i hadn't found the height adjustment on the zed within 2 mins of going for a test drive in one I would have never bought one and assumed I didn't fit. All the way up at the front, all the way down at the back. Talk about a load of noobs, and you call yourself zed owners?
  3. Probably the most disappointing movie of 2009 in advance of every other movie released this year :( I adored Sin City (can't wait for the second), 300 was alright so I really really hoped this was going to be a great film. The style was awesome as always but the story just wasn't there. The actors struggled to make anything of the script and I actually felt embarressed to be sitting there the entire length of the movie. My opinion is Frank Miller should stick to the production of the movie and concentrate more on the script than trying to direct again. He wrote robocop and that was good and sin city how could he go wrong with this one? Very disappointed :(
  4. Looks like i wont' even have that now, 1992 baby blue escort cabriolet 1.6 for the next few months now - yuck :hurl:
  5. Most pointless mod goes to the lad with his bazzed up golf, most dangerous pointless mod goes to the guy on the lancer forum :D
  6. I can't knock the handling of an evo but it's the plainness of the design that I can't stand. The latest one looks like it's had it's rear lights deformed, the only reasonable looking one was the 6 as far as i remember. The design of the zed was limited just to the zed and no cut down bog standard saloon/coupe with a 1.6 , it's something special. The evo is no more interesting that a focus st or an astra gsi. Add to that the horrible dull interior design and it leaves me feeling a bit cold tbh.
  7. I hate evos and scubys, some don't - it's called a personal opinion. I don't really give a monkeys what they think on the evo forum. They're standard saloon shitboxes with turbos small 4 pot engines, horrible interiors, nothing special whatsoever. Same applies to scubies and i'm sorry to say skylines aren't much better - apart from the r34 and the new gtr. A zed is a one off machine, everything was designed to go in it from the ground up, it's not a hot hatch and it has a history to it so i'm sorry to say whatever the lads/ladies on evo forums have to say doesn't really carry any weight it's their opinion in the same way my opinion is that evos are horrible boring saloon cars with turbos bolted on
  8. Once they're gone and scrabbed for bits the market should pick up, i refuse to sell mine for silly money at the moment so i'm breaking it for spares
  9. That's not a bad deal at all really! :D
  10. lol, i'd never thought of that one. Think i need to give it another listen :D
  11. lol, i thought i was a music nerd knowing that too  pmsl
  12. That is a truly vile shirt  pmsl
  13. Glenn i didn't realise you were still around buddy! :D Yours did fail in spectacular style at japfest a couple of years ago lol
  14. My first NA was mechanically flawless, my TT was knackered suspensionwise but the engine was sound and always started on the key apart from the top of the rad blowing off (that's age though). This NA has had loads of niggly fault and i've never had it totally right, the worst part being the clutch which shouldn't have been fitted to a road car - 6 puck is not a good road clutch and it's the only thing i hate about the whole package. The V8 has a brand new engine, reconned gearbox, every pipe, caliper and bush has been replaced with new and the whole car is 100% free of rust. The window mechanisms are tight and don't rattle and there's no squeaks anywhere so I might actually have a decent zed for once! :D Hopefully it's going to be a while until i need to do anything with it :hyper:
  15. I really like them, the whole car feels more sporty as you get in, i know that sounds stupid because from the back of the doors forward it's exactly the same but it just feels that little bit more tight and cosy?
  16. Its a pretty game and huge, totally free roaming but the handling isn't great and if you haven't got xbox live it's a bit boring really :D I've got it on pc and it looks just as good and the internet play is free too!
  17. Hi Jay, Sounds like a nice car and especially with that mileage that's nothing for a zed! I agree with Murt, get some photos up! :D Welcome to the club! Nick
  18. There were some real suprises, the chilli peppers, u2, men at work  lol
  19. Welcome to the club buddy :D Very nice looking zed!
  20. Jesus just how many songs use the same chords  http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qHBVnMf2t7w
  21. It's the first i've heard of it. I use my own e-commerce system to run my sites but i was in the process of upgrading it to something a bit special but what's the point if this exists :D lol
  22. pmsl  If you want to advise me once it's all up and running on carb on what you think would be a good setup i'm all ears :D I like doing things a little bit differently :D hehe
  23. I could do but when you add up everything, carb route is about 500 quid and efi is 2k if you use the holley setup. Even using throttle bodies you're probably talking around the £1000. The prospect of efi looks good on paper and i know it'll save alot on petrol and give me more power/control but if i go for that the car won't be finished till the end of the summer. I can always convert it later on when I have the money, the beauty of chevy - bolt on goodies :D
