  1. Well my NA is as far as you can push an NA without changing the internals and i regularly get over 30mpg on the motorway. I've had 36 out of both sitting at 65 on the motorway, keeping it below 3000RPM Combined you're looking at around 25-26mpg in the NA and about 22-23mpg for the TT. I've owned both and the NA is more fun, sounds better and cheaper to insure... which is why i'm sticking a 6.3 Chevy V8 in my new one  I'm sure lots of people on here will object to me saying the NA is better but i've owned both and it suited me the best of the two
  2. Well I bought my V8 project for an undisclosed amount (nowhere near as much as you'd think) and i'm spending an additional 3k on the parts to make sure the engine and everything else is brad new, only brand new components for my baby :) For the price i picked it up for I can easily sell it for twice what i'll have paid for it in the condition it's in :D
  3. Very interesting, must agree with the comment about engine braking is improved. My NA runs a lightened flywheel and full unorthodox pulley system and although the idle is very very slightly off, the pick up in 3rd and upwards makes a huge difference and engine braking is fantastic. You get pushed into your seat at just over 1250rpm in the first 3-4 gears and even in 5th it hauls ass on the motorway but it does seem to lose that urgency when you approach 130mph on the track
  4. Oh stop it, i love purple zeds and i've just bought a car with a red leather interior and the only colour i can't have is purple! Looks fantastic, love that colour :D
  5. Would have loved yours matey! Bloody money - never have it when you want it :) It's rudy oliver's project, everything's done apart from the engine so he's teaching me all i need to know. 383 stroker, roller rockers, double pump carb and roller cams so should be a bit of a monster. It's a chevy 5 speed box buddy
  6. ey up me duck! :) nice to see you back buddy. If you get chance have a look for my two project threads. I'm following in your footsteps and building a chevy v8 zed :) I need to pick your brains at some point about the speedo and how you got it to work. Should be all done for may time all being well
  7. pmsl  I'm actually going to watch that next week  I'll be in the wrong end and paying stupid amounts for the tickets but hey least i'll be there lol I am so getting beaten up by the manchester united fans if Derby score! :x: :mac1:
  8. Did he not get out the car and roll around the floor crying like he usually does when he gets a tap?
  9. Jesus, is that the one you popped the picture up of the other day on the vectra thread? Sorry to hear that buddy but at least you're not hurt which is the main thing :(
  10. Great work buddy :D Looks much much better!
  11. Bugger mate, that's awful news. So glad they managed to recover it but it's a horrible thing to have had to go through :( Hope you manage to get it sorted out soon
  12. lol, that's only because you want all the shiny bits off mine now
  13. That's absolutely shocking, thank god they banned her. She deserves jail, let alone a ban though IMHO!

  16. I'm not a big fan of any ferrari but i do like the 612 scaglietti
  17. It might be the rear wiper blade rubber gromit leaking into the boot. CHeck for water marks on the trim and wet patches on the carpet. If it's evaporating that'd be the source of your condensation.
  18. Unbelievable how much work has gone into this car, one of those things I don't think people appreciate just how much work goes into something like that and it's rare it's documented in such deep detail and in such a fun way. I'll be watching this with interest!
  19. All the ebay ones are LHD as far as i'm aware but flattening the right hand header with a hammer where it comes into contact with the steering column is usually the way people sort this problem out from what i've heard? The lambda sensor didn't seem to foul mine so must be that sort that cause the problem. Mine was rubbing against the steering column and this stopped the problem reoccurring again
  20. pmsl  Happy New Year buddy!
  21. as silly as it sounds try http://www.bell.co.uk? They're pretty reasonable for a big company
  22. I'm glad you posted these up, with the V8 project especially as it's on a swb i'm going to need to be able to quieten all 6.3 litres of chevy muscle otherwise i may go deaf lol I was going to put a side exit on both using a valve to open and close them but what you've posted here i assume you can adjust the volume using the valve rather than switch on and off the pipes which may work better?
  23. Mine will be entering the fray soon and tbh i'm thinking off taking off every nice bit on it and using the breaker i've got to put it back to stock form and make the most back from it, would also make it easier to sell being stock.
