  1. I've driven a SWB as well as LWB and as Jaffa says, just feels a bit more nimble. I might add the exhaust is a little more intrusive as per losing a few inches off the exhaust. All in all a tighter sporty feel than lazy gt feel, more like an mr2 kind of cornering feel
  2. That does help sometimes
  3. Electricity no but heating water using solar power is easy enough, a black box with black pipes inside in direct sunlight will absorb the heat, all you need is a little pump to pull the water through into a storage tank
  4. Well my "breaking zed" thread will be up in 30 mins :(
  5. It's the same as mine will be, butterfly valve on an actuator that opens and closes to bypass the rear silencer box
  6. It still made me cream myself listening to it
  7. Mate i'm just about to break my car with the venom wings on, drop me a pm if you're interested
  8. Bugger, well it's not as bad as i thought and you're right that some tlc and it'll be sorted so long as there isn't any underlying mechanical damage. I'll keep fingers crossed for you buddy
  9. Yup, that'd be you from what Tim was saying lol Check your pm's by the way buddy!
  10. Best of luck buddy and i'll be throwing some work your way when I finally get the V8 back to the new house, I need everything cleaning and valeting ready for the shows this year and I know you'll make a corking job on a gunmetal grey car :D
  11. My mate saw at the side of the road this morning saying "one of your lot" was at the side of the road, I added a note in the WAS IT YOU section :D Glad you've got it sorted matey
  12. Tell me about it, money is holding me back now. Soooo close to finishing mine now and i need a month to run mine in really because it'll be freshly rebuilt :( How i'm going to put 3000 miles on in 4 weeks before the 2 track sessions i don't know!
  13. lol, it'd have to be with you :D Well i hope you won't be a stranger on here
  14. Ey up buddy, nice to hear off you. I wondered what the result of this was. Are you sticking with zeds or moving onto something different?
  15. I was thinking might be worth swapping injectors and seeing if it changes cylinders or even unplugging each one individually?
  16. I wanted to go digital because of all the hassle of calibrating the standard dash to work with the V8 and I think those ones that Keith was using are the way to go with the smoked front, only go to find another £460 quid plus postage and duty! lol
  17. One of my work colleagues spotted you this morning on the way in and said "one of your lot" was broken down as i was coming into work :D
  18. I know this is probably a very stupid question but you have got the two connectors the right way round so they're not firing when the other should be firing?
  19. OOooooo laaaarvly :D
  20. Surely if all 8 spark plugs are sparking when held against the block then the misfire isn't ignition/coil pack based, it's fuel based?
  21. Blimey, not another one! Glad you're okay buddy! :D
  22. lol, remember seeing this mad thing a while ago but it's still just brill to watch :D
  23. That's great news buddy and just when you needed it too :D Best of luck with the interview!
  24. It really depends on the zed, i did the calculations based on filling to the brim then refilling at half a tank to the top and it was the same for both, and the tt was auto. As one of the guys says above it's about momentum on the tt's. Heavy car so if you're light footed enough you can squeeze some rather high mpgs out of them. I've always had fresh plugs in mine, regular oil changes and always checked the tyre pressures and it makes a difference. At the moment i get about 70-80 miles for every 10 quid (29mpg) dipping to 14-16mpg on just town driving but concidering most cars don't do that much round town it's not that much
