  1. thanks, but where are the instructions on how to fit them ??
  2. where can I find detailled instruction on how to fit one of those clear tail light conversions ( just the lenses ) ?? - not complete light units... I've done a search but drawn a blank...... thanks guys.... Andy....
  3. Ultraled's are in the process now of manufacturing some yellow ones especially for clear rear lenses...... keep an eye of the site, or phone the guy and ask him to inform you when they are ready....... he's a good guy, very helpful, there is a phone number on the site..... Andy......
  4. You are right, they do have offset pins on the new bulbs and opposing pins on the indicator bulbs....... to overcome this I ground the one pin off the bulb leaving one pin then gently squeezes the bulb holder with pliers to make it slightly smaller in circumference, the bulb slides in lovely and locks into place using the single pin..... because I already put solder across the 2 connections on the base of the bulb there is no danger of no contact being made..... My car is in storage and i'm going to do some more work on it next weekend, i'll take loads of pics for you then and put them in my rides section..... hope this helps..... Andy.....
  5. PLEASE DO NOT MISTAKE THESE LED'S FOR THE TOTAL CRAP THEY SELL AT HALFORDS.... PLEASE FOR GOD ONLY SAKE DON'T !!!! These are the real deal, check out the website, i've used this guy for a couple of years now on other cars and he is great.... Look at this link and check out the reviews, this will answer your question on red lenses...... http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=44&products_id=1094&osCsid=49a7d4a8dc8ba5b4df7325928c1974f5 This guy will also happily refund if you tell him you want to trial them, if they are no good ( they will be good ), he will refund - IF YOU AGREE THIS WITH HIM FIRST CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE........... Andy.......
  6. I don't mind mine being there, just in the process the following : fitting cream / blue complete leather re-trim DVD system - 4 screens ! loads of chroming in engine bay custom made console for APEXI boost controller and AFC-II and more..... will be finished ready for 1st show of the year at castle coombe....
  7. my clocks are 180mph, the reverse dials on EBAY are 160mph, I ain't paying £120.00 for the real ones so I want the cheaper ones from EBAY, i've read loads on this subject, still confused about fitting a resistor to re-calibrate the clock to 160mph !!! Has anyone done it ?? How do you do it ( fitting the resistor - which type of resistor, etc...) any instructions anyone..... I've just changed all my bulbs and LED's in the dash and clock and it doesn't look as good as I hoped, so i'm going to have the indiglo ones instead..... thanks Andy.....
  8. these bulbs are custom made to cure that very fault, they have leds's projecting out to the side to fill the lens....... wicked.......
  9. he's gonna put the pics of my car with all the work he's done for me on his site, for a big discount on future work.... If you have any idea's for " 1 off's " then he'll like to hear it and he'll be happy to help, give me a few days and i'll sort his details out for you all.... then these " 1 off's " can be reproduced for everyone......
  10. don't know, but they work fine..... have a look on the site, give the guy a call and he'll sort it out for you....... http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=44_64&products_id=429&osCsid=49a7d4a8dc8ba5b4df7325928c1974f5 cheers Andy.....
  11. don't have any pics yet, but I mounted them behind the trim in the boot, just under the light cluster, they do get quite hot, but to be honest they won't set fire to wires or anything like that, just hot to touch........ i'll get some pics for you....
  12. i'll sort some out for you as soon as...... i'll put the normal bulbs in one side and take a pic comparing the old and new LED......
  13. oh yeah.... :headvswal don't know if it fits...... thought best to buy the resistors....
  14. definately worth it, I can recommend them definately, read the reviews on the site, i've got them and they are cool......
  15. you need resistors because the LED's don't draw much current so your indicator circuit thinks a bulb has failed and your indicarors flash really quickly.... this resistor cures that, but it gets very hot ( normal ), so mount it away from cables etc.....
  16. got these red led's for my stop and tail lights, loads brighter than standard bulbs.......with the LED look, bonus.... :hyper: http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=44&products_id=1094&osCsid=49a7d4a8dc8ba5b4df7325928c1974f5 pricey, but good...... ordered these white ones for my rear indicator bulb replacement..... they are dual contact for stop and tail lights, but if you put some solder across the contacts then its really bright, makes the indicators look really bright and they look good..... http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=44&products_id=1118&osCsid=49a7d4a8dc8ba5b4df7325928c1974f5 also you need these if your replacing your indicator bulbs with led's..... 1 for each bulb !! http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=44_64&products_id=429&osCsid=49a7d4a8dc8ba5b4df7325928c1974f5 more money than sense....... :nelson: Andy....
  17. yeah, but i'm waiting for the plates to arrive, should get them on Thursday or Friday, don't want to recommend someone if they are crap, if the plates are pucca then i'll put his details up, the plates he is doing as a trial for me, not his usual business. He wants me to put his details up, but as I said, let me judge has work first.... cheers Andy....
  18. I've got this bloke making all sorts of metal plates for me with engraving on or lettering cut out for what ever purpose you require....... confused yet ?? I sent him a couple of drawings of what i want and he can do them for me for a very good price indeed. He has made me a couple of plates to help me to custom install my Apexi AVC-R and AFC-II into the centre console, with "Z" and other logos cut into them, when i've got them back from the chromers i'll put pics up of them installed. He's also making me a battery cover, custom to fit my larger battery and again with a logo cut out into it for maximum effect...... (ANY logo you require, just send him a pic and he'll do it.... ANY LOGO ).... I've got other custom items he is making but i'm staying tight lipped until they are done and fitted, then i'll put some pics up for you guys... I will wait for the items to arrive and if they are good enough then i'll put his details up for you guys to give him a try, maximum individuality if you've designed it yourself, with minimum effort. watch this space........ Andy.....

yes, there is a black cable with a connector on the end running to the boot lock mechanism, you will need to take off the trim aroung the lock ( from inside the boot ) and then you will see the cable running to it. Remove the mechanism ( 3 bolts ) to inspect the switch, connect the switch back to the mechanism when it is out and work it by hand to see if its making the switch or not and go from there. hope all is ok. Andy...
  20. check out this site for all you need to know about speed traps and the law.......... http://www.speed-trap.co.uk/ good luck......
