my leather arrives Wednesday too, can't wait, its been 6 weeks since i ordered it, got an email today, it will be with me tomorrow, then its a lot of work to get it all in, still can't wait though, pics will be posted when its done...... Andy.....

have both light got a good earth ? try sharing the earthing point, that way you know that they both have the same "strength" earth....... I have installed some neons in the engine bay and one of them wasn't coming on intermittently, once i changed the earth point and shared the earth, there haven't been any problems since. Andy.....

have you tried MORPHEOUS - I downloaded photoshop from there including serial crack...... Andy....

just got an email back from biggred...... £312.00 to do all 4 calipers in shiny gold :shock: , rebuilt and refurbished and delivery included, not worth that much money, i'll just paint them !!!!

thanks guys....... i'll go for the 2 pack paint, but if golds not the colour then i'll have to think what colour goes with dark blue, don't want dark blue calipers,i want them to stand out a little, maybe i'll do for silver.......??????

I've just fitted an ENZO handle... (see this....http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=63893 ) it look a bit daunting bit its a piece of p**s - honest. The only thing i did different was that I squeezed the handbrake handle with mole grips to squash it together - thus reducing the overall circumference and this allowed the 22mm handbrake handle cover to slip over the handbrake handle. It took longer to remove the trim than to fit the handle itself...... seriously, give it a go, the handle only cost £20.00 inc 3 day delivery. thanks to boldy for the write up.......

thought so, thats why I asked, i'll just get em hammer-smoothed then - shame cause the powder coat I was gonna use was a really nice bright metallic gold for the calipers...... oh well... never mind. thanks.

I'm having a few things in the engine bay power coated because they are not suitable for chroming :headvswal ,, and while I was at it i thought of getting my brake calipers powder coated...... How easy is it to dismantle the calipers ? obviously they will need splitting to be coated...... do they ? thanks guys.... Andy...

I'm gonna have a rant now - 1st one on the forum, but here goes..... Police ( not any particular individual ) in Telford are a bunch of w***ers, fookin useless and thats being kind. The other day i was on a bicycle ride with my 7 year old daughter, we were riding on the pavement next to a busy road because its safer than being on the road. who should waft by but the filth in their poxy volvo estate, on their way to busting a drug den no doubt, low and behold the brake light come on and they pull up some way in front of us............. you guessed it, the prick shouts me over, for a chat !!, he asks me why I am riding on the footpath, " don't you know its an offense " !!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, i said but i'm just being safe with my daughter, he gets cocky and said that i'm not showing her the right way to do things and he turned to her and said " you and your dad could get in trouble by riding on the footpath ", with that my little girl starts to cry...... well I just lost it !!!!!, big style !!! "well done, bet your proud now ", I fumed, " police tossers, picking on innocent public, easy targets, making my girl cry - and other words which got me into more trouble..... I rode off with my my baby and he said that he wanted to speak to me, so I told him to follow me home then and i'll speak to him there !!!!!!!!!! And he fookin did, 5 fookin minutes with the fookin filth following me at 5mph to my house..... I got home, my missus came out and asked what was going on, said i'll tell her later and told her to take my girl inside, the big fat plod got out of the car and tried to give me a lecture about road safety, and how to talk to the police - told me to show some respect so my daughter would feel the same when she grew up...... well I was MAD,MAD,MAD - asked him if i was going to be arrested, he said no, so I turned around walked away from him, slammed the garden gate, slammed the front door and ranted to my missus for a bit, 10mins later the w***ker is still outside in his shite volvo, missus stopped me from going outside to have a go, it was 15mins before that tosser eventually went, NOW THATS POLICEWORK !!!!! they would rather me risk the safety of my daughter on roads populated with chav saxo, corsa, punto and fiesta tosspot rally drivers than cycle slowly and safely on the pavement where I can keep an eye on her. no wonder this country is a soft target...... rant over.......thankyou !!

I went to see it and it was crap, the wheels were not Volk alloys although he did have a black Zed with volk alloys on !!, paintwork looked like it had been cleaned with wire brush. The front aftermarket bumper had a piece broken on the front, they said that they did it when it was being unloaded from the transporter outside their shop and they would fix it like new........ but I saw this car on another importers website with the exact same piece broken on the bumper and it was still in Japan. Also they said it had 66K on the clock but it was reading 130,000KM which is a lot more than 66K miles. Best car I will find they said......... whatever......!! I was advised my the nice man from East Calder in Scotland ( I looked at one there too ) to keep well clear of the car importers in Brum, they are cowboys !! BE WARNED.........!!

you have to take out the felt "pad" that lines the bottom of the box, there are screws under there, 4 in total I think, then it just comes right out....... hope this helps Andy....
