1. There seems to be an increase in Facebook users creating fake profiles to scam people out of there hard earned money , it's not just happening on Facebook but also eBay. Since listing my car on eBay I've had many scam emails giving the whole bull about I work offshore bla bla bla so I can't come and view the car but can pay you via paypal and pick the car up from a location yada yada. It's now moving onto z32 selling groups over Facebook and to be honest a few people have been ripped off so they are being clever enough to pull it off. Just a heads up if you see something that appears too good to be true it's most probably a fake. Take care when buying and selling guys and remember never send paypal payments to friends/family if you do not know the seller well
2. Just a little update from power zed for you guys :)
3. Poor z, I've seen it for sale for atleast 2 month now it's a lad called Binty that owns it I think and he's the reason it's got such a lovely paint job , if your buying cars to sell them get a b***ard clue first the damn thing looks like something out of the kids Hot Wheels selection. What a shame
4. Hey guys quick update heads are on! Also ordered unorthodox racing crank and water pulleys w/belts and urethane motor mounts , also have noel sorting the engine management side of things with a nistune board!
5. Bottom end is starting to take shape, pictures courtesy of Jim @ Power Zed
6. Just a little update from Powerzed, Jimmer working his Voodoo
7. Nissan 300zx TT LWB Manual- £2700 -6 months tax- -12 months mot- (just passed) I have decided that I will be putting this up for sale as I can't justify having 2 zeds , I did originally buy it for my girlfriend but she has taken little interest in it so I will be using the money to buy her something more "sensible" pffff. The car has just had a brand new japspeed catback at £300 , it's further had the drivers side rear sill cut, welded and professionally painted at £350, it's also just had brembo discs and pads on every corner at £100 in pads and further £280 in discs. It's had an oil change in the last 100 miles with filter, coolant flush and fill. The bodywork is seriously in good condition especially when you consider it's a G reg !! , the interior is lovely usual wear in places I.e targa top finishers , there's a little adhesive on the top of the dashboard where something's probably been stuck on previously, 4ws is in full working order.. Tried and tested ;). The only fault I can pick with this car is that there is a little tick top end when warm could just be due to the fact it's been sat up a while and needs a good few miles putting on it. If you have any questions you can catch me on this thread or by email at joshuaslake@yahoo.co.uk
8. Just standard for now matey :)
9. Picked up the new TT from the mot test centre with a 12 month ticket!, thought I'd treat her to a catback too !
10. Just dropped parts off with Jim , pictures to follow guys :)
11. Well it's currently Tuesday, the z1 order came in today at very early 7 am I did not enjoy being woken up however that all changed when I saw the courier .... Can you guess what it is yet !?
12. Another good reason to rebuild !
13. I'm in the same boat maybe next year ... :(
14. Good work buddy I bet you can't wait !
15. That's just it, saving a zed and giving it a good life!
16. Jim reckoned it had new bearings at some point , and no your completely right I did ask but was told " I do have it all somewhere" the car did drive fine and pulled well and I had just made a 5 hour trip to Ipswich so I naively let it slip, there's no doubt about it the owner was a complete cheapskate and should never be let near a car again, my plans were to forge from the beginning anyways so the fact that I had to rebuild sooner rather than later, didn't as so much bother me but yeah this is a number 1 case for buyer beware. Don't let the heart dictate the head !
17. A little update Some honestly shocking engine work by the previous owner Richard green, if you happen to meet him at JAE please tell him he's a co**! This is a real problem with our zeds, people who clearly do not have the knowledge to carry out basic maintenance tasks doing bodge jobs adding to the whole reason why so many believe zeds aren't reliable anyways despite having to deal with what one guy botched , the engine is now being stripped away, ready for the machine shop! Been waiting on z1 for a week or so as the injectors I wanted weren't in stock and had to be delivered, kind of putting the whole priority delivery down the drain but one happy thought to get me through is knowing the cars in Jim's hands!
18. Thanks for the review my matey! Yes his reputation speaks for itself a true pleasure to have him work on my dirty engine. Can't wait for the rebuild it was worth the long trip and I can rest knowing it's in the best hands Hail Jimmer !
19. Parts are ordered and ready to be shipped ... A little teaser
20. just got off the phone with the man himself, decided to change a few things in the build which will keep the car ...... interesting. Parts in place ready to order, Excited!!!
21. Good to see mate .... Now it's my turn in line haha :cool3:
