  2. Hi guys I'm ordering from Z1 in a month or so and the order is on the pricey side, Any past experiences of what you got imported etc and the price you paid etc

  4. Engine had a rebuild about 5000 miles back he just didn't replace the turbos, will bear this in mind Cheers z32bolt
  5. With the gt525s will they go in without changing engine components I was going to upgrades the smics when the turbos went in

So let's rewind it back I bought the car a few months back with a slight oil leak on the drivers side turbo , it smoked a little on idle but still drove fine and didn't take much oil fast forward a few months and I think it's now shotting out a lot more oil , the problem started today I went to pick my brother up about 8 miles away and at the traffic lights, I start to see blue smoke coming up out And over the top of the bonnet ( always a good sign ) also the exhaust was shotting it out , first thing I looked at was all my levels ... Fine , wasn't overheating so I popped the bonnet and I'm seeing the smoke coming from the top left of the engine bay ... Turbo , I turned the car off for a bit and left it 5 minutes , started her up again and saw blue smoke coming from the drivers side exhaust ,left it a further 30mins and with no tow i had to drive it back I didn't go over 2k and it wasn't bellowing smoke out of the bonnet like before but was a little out the exhaust. my idea is that the oil seal is now shot and it's releasing oil onto the turbo which is burning it off aswell as sucking through , I was saving for new turbos but was expecting to replace them in February , just wanna know a rough cost for replacing the two turbos , fitting etc engine lift from someone who's already done it Thanks in advance Josh

  9. Just out of question were you running extended bolts with the 5mm spacer as I'm getting mixed views on the topic some people say it's fine others are saying you should definitely be running extended bolts , better to be safe than sorry I guess !

Hi guys long story short after getting messed about with a company in the states I cancelled the varrstoen es 221 and went with some rota grid drifts in 18" 9.5 all round with a +30 offset however much to the word of the nice salesman at driftworks who quite obviously has no clue whatsoever I found out today that my fronts won't fit over the calliper despite being told " yeah a twin turbo 300zx itl easy clear that" they're not touching that much but il probably need to run a 3mm spacers to get it free , I got some 1.25 wheel nuts but will probably need to opt for a longer nut any suggestions on where to get some decent spacers ?
  12. Ended up ordering some varrstoen es 221 wheels 8.5 front with +25 offset and 9.5 back with +30 semi sensible can't wait until they arrive ! :)
  13. Had a look they don't I've emailed the Europe website for a dealer close by but then again I can get them for 800 from the states and set of 4 budgets for 315 to get me by !
  14. Na man I was gonna go for the rotas because they looked like the varrstoen alloys but now I've found the originals for cheaper than the rotas haha

Different sort of game all this ridiculous camber malarkey , the cars probably spend more time at show than they do on the roads , I've seen some varrstoen shoes on a black z they've got on the gallery most of you have probably seen it as it's all over Google and managed to find the alloys on eBay shipped from America for £800 :) however they are in 10.5 and 9.5 I think they do 8.5 but in 5x100 :(
  17. Hi guys quick question I'm getting some new alloys at the end of the month and was wondering what problems you good old guys have already run into !? So here goes I'm ordering Front: 18" 9.5s +12mm offset ( 245/35/18 ) Back: 18" 10.5 + 15mm offset (275/35/18) (anyone local roll arches):whistling: Thoughts?

Thanks everyone, il get some pictures up !. i know the turbos lay quite deep in so was expecting a engine out job to sort it , the way i see it is if it goes that just means time for some bigger turbos ! there's still many plans for the car! Ste i only knew you had it when Marco mentioned it ! , i hadn't seen one around Redcar for a while !, also a lad in work mentioned you he drives a honda civic saloon ? and a meet up would be cool as i'm sure you have a lot more info on them than i do ! Hi guys Just bough myself an imported '92 300zx TT 5 speed manual , absolutely love the car but when i got told they'd have problems i didn't expect this fast! so! , i got the car back sunday night , working fine , test drove fine ! in the morning i took the car to work about 7 miles ! and pshhhhhhhhhhhhh off comes the power steering belt happily taking the a/c one with it too ! , 20 quid for the 2 belts ...sorted Number 2- a little smoke when idling , got told by the previous owner this was down to an oil seal leak on the drivers side turbo and only smoked a little when idling ( which was true) never the less i do want to look into it and would like advice Number 3 - as i was coming out of work today i've gave the girl a little clutch kick . not sure what clutch is in it as this got replaced when the engine underwent a rebuild approx. 4000 miles ago , anyways now the clutch is stinking! real bad, but not slipping! i,m hoping its just a little left over burning that should go within a few days:oops: also when idling the engine sits at around 2000 rpm but after a while drops to approx. 1000, didn't know if this was supposed to happen as a measure of keeping the engine cool so i thought i better ask the experts on it ! cheers in advance guys instantly fallen in love with the car even if it does hammer the pocket! look forward to posting many more threads just hopefully not all problem solving ! Josh!
