the BHP runs i've done on my gtech have been quite close to actual RR results and are consistent, you basically have to do 5 runs, drop highest and lowest and then average the 3 remaining to get a vaguely accurate result, it showed a 12hp increase when I installed my induction kit (mainly due to prior breathing problems i believe with the old airbox)

oil analysis may highlight some problems also if you can find someone to do it.

last year on my TT starter motor, water pump, about 160quid for a starter and 30quid labour (didn't fancy changing it in the snow) and a water pump which cost about 35quid,

the auto box would never take it :D
