what colour is the smoke?

a lot of water leaks become more evident when the pump isn't pushing water past them, IE with pressure buildup and engine off. So get the car up to tempreture and turn off engine and have a look around. it's how I diagnosed my water pump leak and a few other leaky pipes on other cars.

probably better to get an expert to look at it, this could spell disaster in more than one way, Ie death or you may end up loosing your rear wheels :eek:. Because there will be no weight on the rear wheels as well you may not get accurate results anyway.

scrap all that. base idle is set at 750rpm correctly. I'm not sure why i got bizarre readings last night maybe it was down to car cooling down or shit in the iaa, as soon as i reconnect the Idle control connector it goes up to the same old 950rpm, so its defiently something its being told to do. or I have a boost leak? going to try hunting for one of them later.

Unplugged the yellow connector on the AAC today and restarted my car. My idle decided to shoot to around 1500. Am i right in assuming that this is the base idle now as the IAA is getting no commands from the ECU? why the feck would anyone set the idle to 1500 RPM? It's not that it would be hiding any problems as until recently the car has been idling perfectly yet slightly high at 950rpm, before cleaning out the TB's and idle valve in situ it was idling spot on at 750 It defiently looks like someone has had this plug off before, so I am assuming it's been adjusted before My TPS voltage is currently reading bang on 0.42 volts. And I have a steady idle of 950rpm when the yellow connector is plugged in. any one successfully removed and cleaned the IAA unit?

My spoiler, I finally got my car to a stage that I was happy, IE perfect bodywork. RPS clutch meant I could put some power down again Lightened Flywheel was also a nice addition at the same time

I think it was stillen making the kit, but I can't find the linmk on 300zxclub or on here, I believe that it changed the gearing in the 300zx Diff to an NA ratio without the hassle (and possible weaknesses) of a Diff transplant. Anyone have the link?

yuh tell your insurance company, and then phone up kindertons, basically my claim was settled with kindertons and one week later i got a letter from my insurance company's solicitors with forms to go ahead with a claim, i just told them it had been sorted. Once spoken to kindertons you don't need to deal with anyone else, but your insurance company will need to know, jane will offer you the best advice though really. :)

get the police report, and phone this number Kindertons accident Management 01270 500 900 ask to speak to jane, they will take on your case if they believe you were not at fault, it will bypass your insurance solicitors and they WILL sort it out quicker because of mounting costs. you also get a hire car, this helps speed the process of having your car repaired because the insurance company resent paying 50quid a day. You will be asked to pay a small fee (under £10) which means you are insured against them loosing the claim, My accident, I had my car back within 14 days fully repaired and a bill of 3.5k paid for. they only take on your accident if they beleive you are not to blame, and paying the 10quid insurance mean you are covered in case they cannot reclaim the balance paid within 12 months.

why not remove the block and just have pistons?

i've been thinking of getting me dremel out and going for 6litres, may have to get some custom made square pistons though.
