I think basically you put your lights in the over to heat them up, then remove the old gunk and lenses, then stick the new ones in.

Yes the 99spec look crisper I've noticed, I don't particulary like the lines on them though, I don't know why they put them there:) maybe some glass polish and a good scrub will bring mine looking up just as nice as yours james

well i've bought a set off of ebay for $48 which works out at around £27 I'll do the conversion for now and see about 99oem lights next year :) means I can put the money for the lights towards some shocks.

I really like the look of these and want to get some before billing, however I've seen the conversion done on peoples cars with the 99kit from the states, has any one got any direct side to side photos? I think I prefer the DIY jobs because they don't have the black lines on them. Where is the kit available from?

I modified the bulb holder, removed one of the splines, it still holds in very tight, I do agree though, it would be better if they were a straight fit. I just need some silver bulbs now

SE took my engine out 5 years ago mate, dunno when its gonna be due... suspension is a job I have scehduled for next month ;)
