omg My car's been in safety mode since i bought it (un-known to me at the time) and i just spent the day fitting a blitz sbc-i colour boost controller. Took it for a very carefull test drive and :bow: :bow: ITS ****ING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had the nose panel off and the targas off. Its a boost monster !!! the BOV's are bloody loud!! Its like having a new car, you actually have a rush of acceleration on boost. Never had it at 7 psi and im only pushing it to 11 psi now! All the money spent, repairs that have been done hours spent working on problems with it don't mean shit now!, i couldn't care less that its still high idling now and then and i may need a new diff............For now i'm happy :dance::dance: :D

Play is coming from the off side drive shaft going into the diff, i can move it clearly moves around where it meets the diff. If i turn the wheel back and forth then there is a knocking sound. The drive shaft and gear box seem ok. I just cleaned my throttle boddies and ICV so gonna take it for a spin to clear that out, when its hot i'll check the oil levels. Thanks guys!! :bow:

I'm under the car now and there's alot of play in the diff, is there a way to check oil levels? Also, there are sensors on either side of the diff, the right hand wheel that sends a + - + - + - pattern to the sensor is very shiny!, been rubbing. I've found my squeek !!!! only been a year, lol

Perhaps it's cause you parked in between two spaces??

I have a nice big can of silicone and gonna lube a few bits on the car. Its ok for all the bushes etc isn't it? Also gonna go round all the cockpit / roof rubbers too!

I'd say it was coming from the middle, but doesn't make sense really? I'll get under it tomorrow and give everything a good wiggle!!! I have a spare prop, centre bearing and torque convertor. Not to mension a spare knackered auto box, so hopefully have parts if theres anything wrong. Play in the diff could be poss. How do i test that? rotate the rear wheels and feel for play??? Maybe time for an N/A diff for faster acceleration if so :D

I know, not sure why these little things keep happening ? I did a boost leak test about 1500 miles ago and will be messing with the lines this weekend so i'll check.

I was getting a high idle of 1500rpm here and there when the car was warm. I cleaned out the idle control valve with some carb cleaner and the idle had stopped going high but the car did stall a couple of times. Now the car has gone back to idleing high again :cry: I think the base idle is fine, when it's not high it sits at 750 rpm. Should i take the valve off and give it a really good clean? Would cleaning the intake / butterfly's help ??

Any Ideas ?

Theres always been a small amount of slack in my drive train but recently it seams to make a knocking noise when coming off and on the throttle in gear. I tend to keep it locked in 2nd most of the time as i'm always driving in London at the moment and need the revs to be in the right place. Could this be damaging it? Could it be the Torque convertor as it's locked up in 2nd and 1st gear isn't it?? Gonna have a look at it this weekend.

Just got a Blitz SBC I-Colour :dance: And it looks rather complex, lol. I have a manual for it but was asking if anyone has fitted one and could give some pointers? I'm guessing fitting the EBC's valve is fairly straight forward, i just plumb it into the existing system. Where do i pick up the speed and RPM signals from to attach my wires to? ? I also have an oil pressure sensor and water temp sensor, Both are metal and have a thread but don't want to be drilling and tapping my engine!! are there any places to fit them ?? This is the box of bits!!

You need to look at a Sodium Phosphate coating on the bare metal. It's a rust preventor and helps primer stick to the bare metal. Contact James king-Wilson at http://www.blast-cleaning.co.uk They do it
