  11. Heres the online service manual gearbox section. Very helpful. This is bell housing torque settings http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=at&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=97&design=default&total=194 Picture to prove the extensions needed on the bell housing bolts, lol
  12. Me and some other members off this site did the same thing at the beggining of the year. Its reletively staight forward and i put an import box on my uk car. Drain gearbox oil remove: exhaust (studs may break, be prepaired to replace) first half of prop and centre bearing (mark the prop so it goes back in the same position) heat shields gear lever and all plastics etc starter motor disconnect the wiring loom from the engine bay and leave loose. There's about 10 bolts holding the bell housing of the box to the engine, most are ok to access however the top two are not. You'll need a rachet and socket with about 4 300mm extensions on (no joke) to get to them and you'll need to loosen the engine mounts and then the top intake/intercooler hoses at the front of the engine to get the engine to rotate slightly backwards and get the gear box to hang down giving you access to these bolts. un bolt the dip stick tube Theres then some fun to be had with the Torque convertor and detaching it from the flywheel (if it is a fly wheel?), youll need to access 4 bolts with a spanner on the torque convertor through the gap between gear box and engine bell housings before the gear box gan be dropped and removed from the car. However saying that that might have been when putting the gear box on................. I'll do a search of my old post and find out the rest.... *****EDIT Heres the removal etc in the manual http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi
