idling at 1500rpm when blower is on
I had a problem with my fan, the rpm was also high. The connectors to the water temp sensor on the rad pipe was dodgy, if i wiggled it the fan would come on and the rev's would go up. I think its a safety feature if the ECu doesn't know the temp the fan automaticaly comes on just in case ? Anywhoo, i'd disconnect the battery, clean the connectors for the temp sensor and clean the idle controll valve while your there, disconnecting the battery for long enough should re-set the ECU. have you done an error code check for the temp sensor?

How Stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!
Car licence plates which bear the sequence SN07 were banned from the streets of Edinburgh because they are "offensive", it has emerged. The plate had been due to follow on from the SN56 registration in March. Licensing officials at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) changed the plate to TN07 to avoid it being similar to the word "snot". The change means that cars registered in the capital are the only ones in Scotland not to begin with an S. A DVLA spokesperson said the decision to change the plates was taken to avoid offending car buyers in the capital. She added: "It is our policy that any registration mark that can be construed as being offensive to people will be suppressed. "In this case, the SN07 marks would have been too similar to the word 'snot' and, as that could possibly offend some buyers, they were replaced with new TN07 registrations."

What Would You Do If You Had An Invention?
But if all you have is a theory and you want someone else to design and make it and work out if and how it works then who would really have come up with the idea? IT's like the invention of the time travel watch. "How does it work?", "just pop it on your wrist" !! :D

twin turbo boost gauge
The turbo's vacume pipes are linked via the Balance bar on the back of the engine, therefore (unless a solenoid is stuck) both turbos are working together at all times. Hence why theres only one boost guage, theres only one vacume system DOH, beaten by 1 minute!

Some more progress pictures
whoooooooaaaaaaaaa, good work dude, looking awesome. Glad you changes the rear brakes with the front!!!!!

Gauges
you'll need all the senders and wiring / tubing to go between them if you don't already have them? oil and water temp will be electrical senders, you'll need a T piece for the water pipe from the rad, you can get a sandwich plate to go between the oil filter and engine to get the pressure reading, i think you can get these with temp senders on too ? The boost pipe should just swap straight over..

Anyone who's installed ICE
It's right there, honest!! theres no tube though

Dett this
Well if you are using a boost controller, you will have an aftermarket chip in the ECU. Therefore iliminating the standard ECU's 2nd map when it senses detonation anyway, so yes, in theory you can bypass the det sensor and fit a boost controller and chip. However, i hope you have a good ear because if it is detonating, theres no safety boost!!!! You'll need to hear it and knock the boost controller down. Is the car detonating? If so you need to make sure the det sensor IS the issue!! Might be worth reading these threads about my Det ?? http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=111538&highlight=det http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=111538&highlight=det

Dett this
Thats true, however the det sensor seems to throw up pre-ignition on these cars and never detonation, so i just think of it all the same, lol
-
Dett this
They seem to be talking about an electronic boost controller
