Fao Funki-Si...
Well, I don't drive my car in the wet nor do I leave it outside, so not sure it's a fair comparison. But they still look almost as shiney as the day I collected them.

Strong smell when booting it !
On start up....is that initial startup or after it's been idling for a few mins? Could just be your stem seals.

Green taxes on the way
That's what the Kyoto agreement is for, but, unlike most international states, Bush won’t signed up to it. International pressure through actions by other countries, namely Britain is supposed to persuade him by being the leading force.

Wouldn't bother with a petrol engine. But diesel units are good. HDi is pretty good, but can be troublesome. I think the best is the earlier 1.9 TD. Similar mechanicals to the Xantia, but without the hydraulic suspension.

Green taxes on the way
I've covered a whopping 5,000 miles in mine since owning it. That's been over a year. The tax on fuel already does its part in disuade me from using it on a daily basis...but the weather also has an equal factor.

Personally think that the government should invest more in nuclear fuels.

I can't stand David Cameron.

Green taxes on the way
As has been seen in the past, I am not sure the government will penalise those who already have cars past a certain date. IE, they'll impose taxes on new gas guzzlers so that consumers can make an informed choice when buying new. The percentage of cars older than 10 years old is quite low compared to that of newer cars. That's the way I see it anyway.

- christmas
Christmas is the most ridiculous and pointless time of the year. Something that's supposed to be a religious festival has now turned into a moneymaking paganistic mince. I have no kids and never want them, as hell, I don't want to be forced to like christmas more than I actually don't already.- Riced out moggy minor...
LOL! Can I have your permission to stick that up on barryboys?- For those who didn't see it on the big screen at JAE...

How should I know? I'm sure PJ can get hold of JWT chips. But you've got to get a chip carrier fitted then. Best to speak to JD really for that stuff.- mods are they safe?
I dunno...some people would say that the best route is a boost conroller. Quite a few on here are running boost jets. It's a far cheaper way of doing it, but you don't have direct control over the amount of boost. It's not as accurate either as you get boost spikes. Not for very long periods. But say you fit 1mm jets hoping to get around (I think 14/15), it can sometimes spike to 20PSi or more...which isn't always healthy. But the spikes are relatively short lived, so shouldn't pose a problem. Decent electronic devices, aka boost controllers react to this and can reduce most of it. Anyway, fit an aftermarket boost gauge and you may see this happening. - christmas
