I agree. Mine had the shaved rear, used to like that look, still do, but wanted something. So I fitted a 99-spec rear spoiler on it.

Anyway....99-spec rear lights....can't get better than that. :cool:

That's cause UK cars are generially in a haggard high mileage and rusty state now. There are a few exceptions to that rule.Not to mention a rather large number of very very poorly modified ones. That's not to say there aren't shagged looking JDM ones....as there certainly are. Seen a few on here unfortunately. I'd still pay between £4k and £5k for a top condition TT Manual with low mileage and I think a lot of people on here would as well. As with all things though, they are only worth as much as people are prepared to pay for them. In much as the same way as most on here wouldn't pay stupid money for a chavd up 'featured' max power Corsa.

Think I vaguely recall something of that nature. Was hardly any, so the skyline is still something of in import exotic rather than a UK car which the Z was.

Skyline was never sold in the UKDM, so doesn't have the same depreciation rate. The Z was available over here. The Skyline is easier to tune as well.

Best exterior isn't always about show type cars. Best exteriors in my eyes are very good paint and nice lines. Prefer to see them with a lovely coat of well kept paint in a well kept unmolestered condition similar to that which Nissan turned them out of the factory. These cars almost have a 'modern classic' status for that reason. The reason I like them so much is because of their looks and for that reason, I'm not going to go fitting huge bumpers/spoilers/graphics/changing this that and the other. Wouldn't have bought it otherwise if I wanted to change every other panel on the car.

No, but I'm sure it won't be some horrific colour scheme with nasty bumpers/lights and full of filler, mesh, rust. etc etc? Cars with mods that improve the mechanics and make them more reliable and more powerful will never really affect the price drop.

I remember seeing a Z on here that was resprayed in that colour. I forget who posted it now.

Seems to be. The numbers of good original examples is dwindling. One day they'll go back up in value....one would hope. Doubt I'll keep mine long enough for it to go back up in value.
