I've been to Toulouse a few times. Have friends who live not that far away from there in a tiny little village in the middle of nowhere. Can see the Pyrenees from their orchard. Really is a beautiful part of the world. Unfortunately, the French do lack taste when it comes to modifying cars. Mind you, so do the Brits. lol

I did see some HUGE 300zx poster prints in ebay a few weeks ago. Will have a look again.

I've never thought that much of the 350Z. Whilst it's quite nice, I've never thought it to be a 'nicer' replacement for the 300ZX TT. Sure, the 350Z is quicker than the N/A, so can see you're point. But as far as looks go, it just doesn't have anywhere near the road presence of the Z32. But if I had the cash for a 350Z, I'd not buy one. Probably go for a Lotus Esprit V8 Twin Turbo.

Seems to be a case of crashing Zeds and seizing engines due to hydraulic lock at the moment? Mine's a fun/summer car, so why leave it outside for the paint to degrade and parts to corrode? Equally, mine stays in the garage when the weather is nice if it's not being used. The main reason the Z is off the road during the winter months is due to the pure amount of crud on the roads. Not least because at this time of the year, the roads are spattered with salt/grit. Japan doesn't salt its road, it uses crushed volcanic ash which isn't corrosive like salt is. Take a look underneath any JDM car and it'll look new in comparison to a UKDM car.

Mine is always garaged. Moving to a new place next week and the garage there is tighter, but have loads of carpet which I shall line the wall with.

The Z meet is happening near there and then everyone's going to LeMans. It's all in the Loire Valley anyway, so you may as well go.

I've seen some really badly done flip/pearl cars. There's a bright orange/yellow/gold flipped Civic locally and it's dreadful. Full of dark patches. Really is a mess.

I do like that green/purple flip one. Tastefully done. Actually when I was having my Z resprayed, there was a SWB TT almost intendical to that. Same colour/kit etc. Owned by a middle aged woman from Exeter way I think.

No, it's Russell Floyd's who owns Z1Motorsports out in the Georgia (USA) and it is proven 1051rwhp. Incidently, he invited me out to stay with him and his crew at this year's 300ZX nationals day in March.

There's a lot of work involved in smoothing the finish off the bumpers as it's molded into the plastic unlike the stone chip stuff on the sills which is bitumen based. It took about a day to get the finish removed from the front bumper and about half a day for the rear.

I've had mine done all over. Had the bumpers smoothed and the sills when the car had its respray. Although it's not one of those really noticable mods, it gives a much nicer and cleaner overall look. Excuse the dead flies on this one...
