Alloys for a UK Zed
...infact I was running around on standard JDM wheels on it for a few weeks while I was getting bodywork done on it (7.5" all round) and it hardly felt any different. Firmer ride with my 18s on it, but no adverse road feel.

No not really. Fronts on mine are 235...but will be upgrading to 245. Rears are 265 but will be upgrading to 285. It's not just about the way it drives, but the look needs to be right as well. You're aware of this by wanting to upgrade to 18". If you have a skinny set of 18s on the car, it won't look as good as standard UK wheels even...ie, it'll look terrible.

If you're going for 18", 7.5J is sooooooo narrow. 225 is pretty much maxed out on that. IMHO, you want at least 9j at the rear with an 8j at the front. I've got 8.5J Front and 10J rear on my 18s.

Someone gimme a reason
300ZX is something a little individual. It's one of the reasons I chose it. Something you rarely see, something with good performance and something very pretty.

Shock? I've told you before....don't you remember the thread I started?? :)

I didn't mean it in that sense...just get the bloody thing finished as I like what you're doing to it! :)

It's all very well saying get rid of them. But I've seen them when they've been filled in and when you look down the side of the car and to the shut lines, you can see the areas that have been filled and the shut lines are not uniform....ie, it looks untidy.

I would like to see......
PMSL!! I have no idea who you're talking about, most likely someone before my time, but your analogy was hilarious!

Nice rims. Bit old-skool, but that's in a good way. Do like those and can imagine the car will look great all cleaned with some tyre gell on there. :)

Led Rear Lights
Same as the 99-spec. It's the bezels inside the unit itself.

Here! I've not fitted strobes or undercar neons etc. None of that useless junk. :)

Tidy up your ass!! Rear bumper detail
Why? What about the cars with wrap around rear lights? My Astra's rear lights can be seen from the side.

On a SWB? I don't think so! ;)

I actually like those little reflectors. I'm wiring up the illuminated ones next weekend. I'm more concerned with the LWB red one and how different the colour of the bumper is to the colour of the car!

Urgent Road tax petition!! No joke
...I also remember about 5 or 6 years ago, there was another road tax scare. It was supposedly leaked that the government were going to start charging tax rates for PLG vehicles over 2000CC up to £800 per year.

Urgent Road tax petition!! No joke
I agree. If it is going to be introduced, it'll be at least a decade away. You'll see the introduction of more toll roads before that happens.

....if you have a kit though it looks cool. IE, Unos/James300's old one with blended in skirts etc.

Noooooooo. Don't get rid of the accent line. It's part of the design and kicks the back end up. It looks too blobby and plain looking with it smoothed in. It's up to you though...just my thoughts. :)
