  1. IMHO twin exhausts are the way to go. You retain that lovely V6 burble that the VG makes. Single sounds like a straight 6 and not as flattering to the car.
  2. Only thing is, you didn't turn yours into an airfix kit on wheels.
  3. You his love child or something?
  4. ...and they look it too....maybe it's just the poor quality photo.. No offence to anyone... :(
  5. 55 or 56? What about 06?
  6. You and those chef's specials erh! LOL
  7. I hate snow, but really hope it snows hard tomorrow. Could do with a day off work!
  8. ....lol....I forgot to finish it!! Can't remember what I was gonna say....think the missing word was 'economy'. :)
  9. Correct, we don't manufacture much here. UK is where the vast majority of worldwide R&D is based. It's all economies of scale...the goods are produced overseas to make them cheaper to buy. People wouldn't buy anything if it was made in the UK as it would be too expensive. The UK is still at one of its lowest as far as unemployment goes for the last 20 - 30 years at least. So it's not having any effect on the
  10. Agree. Paint the mesh black...IMHO get some better quality mesh as well. I dont like vented nose panels at all. They don't look pleasing and detract from the smooth look of the car. I do like the Stillen ones though. But, IMHO, I'd get a standard panel and I'd get the contour of the bonnet bulge matched to it.....I think someone on here's done that, but can't remember exactly who.
  11. I see your argument, but kinda disagree with it to a certain extent. Migrant workers are filling a void in the UK providing unskilled labour to places where not only would it cost double to employ a native worker, but they actually now have someone to do that work and willingly. In the short term it might seem as if it's having a negative effect, but overall, it helps improve productivity as a nation and thus, boosting the economy.
  12. Glad you didn't go 8.5 all round. Always nicer to have a deeper dished rear. Gives the car a much more aggressive stance. So you're 8.5 fronts and 9.5 rear?
  13. Also try http://www.juswheels.co.uk Mark did my wheels to a very very high standard and will repair the above I would have though.
  14. It’s just an idea that the government are working around. It’s one of many that have come before us and have vanished. I don’t doubt that some kind of road tolling will appear though…as it already has done and increased areas where a congestion charge will become applicable. But an out and out tracking of car movements and a pay per mile facility just won’t happen, least not for 10 – 20 years. The technology is there, but the implementation is unfeasible at the moment and the foreseeable future. It not only would cost the public a fortune which would be deeply unpopular, but with the sort of expenses the government are talking about, it would seriously effect the UK economy.

I'm still most likely going to go, but will probably do the meet up thing before hand. Will be staying with some friends of mine in Southern Normandy and would quite like to meet up at the campsite one evening or something. I probably won't be going to LeMans, but will try and meet up with you guys in the Loire Valley campsite.
  16. Why not put this in the forsale and club membership sections as well!
  17. Oh no, not this again! LOL, TMTTB beat me to it!!
  18. No, they won't know if it has a fail on it as no certificate is generated. All the information is put on the system when a car passes with its relevant cert number, emissions and expiry date etc. They'll know when a car has no MOT certificate as it'll give an expiry date. You can also add any months on (up to 3 I think) from your previous MOT into your new MOT...so in effect, you can have a 13 or 14 month MOT...although not entirely sure if that old rule is still the case with the new MOTs (it was/is a stupid one anyway) The previous MOT sheet is still valid up until its expiry even if the car fails on subsequent test; the reasons, due to you almost answering your question already, the MOT only shows a vehicle to be roadworthy on the date it was submitted with that certificate being valid for 1 calendar year.
  19. ooooooohhhhhhhhhhh. I love those wheels. For the price, they are absolutely stunning. You didn't fancy going for a 10" rear then?
  20. Arrrrrrrr, so you mean they're here. ;) GET SOME BASTARD PHOTOS UP BOYO!
  21. Here there...? Where? ;)
  22. Agreed totally. Stretched tyres will do the opposite. Due to their nature they'll have far less bodyroll.
  23. Danny can get high powered conventional halogen bulbs, but you'll never get the light quality and brightness unless you get HIDs. I didn't want to spend the money at first, but it's something than needs to be done. Both my dipped beam bulbs have blown anyway, so an HID is going to be fitted now. :)
