PMSL, found a hotel review I wrote online.
I think maybe it's not a fair judgement to compare prices from developing nations to developed nations, but understand where you're coming from. You pay a huge premium over here and get shit all in return. Even the cheapy holiday-Inn express things are about £100 a night! £100 a night!!?? You can stay in a hotel in Malibu for that price! Or even closer to home in continental Europe, you'd get a very very nice hotel, not some rep infested rabbit hutch in Milton Keynes.

No, they had no maitre'd as such, instead, they had some miserable 85 year old pensioner serving breakfast, which, was a curled up bit of scrambled egg on the corner of a hotplate, some shriveled/dried up tomatoes that looked more akin to women's breasts from 3rd world documentaries, beans were all dry and about 4 left. I had some toast which was ok...you can't really go wrong with toast though. Not sure if anyone remembers the episode on “Some Mothers do ‘ave ‘em” where Frank and Betty go on their second honeymoon. They stay at a really vile mankey old hotel run by a Mr. Bedford. Well, it was something similar to that.

PMSL, found a hotel review I wrote online.
Been trying to book up a hotel in Malibu and Santa Monica at the end of the summer and came across a website I forgot about. I stayed in the WORST hotel I've ever stayed in in Southampton called 'The Star'...my review appeared after reading some other reviewed in other parts of the world. Review is here... http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g186299-d193834-r6777525-Star_Hotel-Southampton_Hampshire_England.html There are some other amusing reviews for the same hotel. Have done a fair bit of traveling in my time and over all, it has to be said that in general, UK hotel accommodation is stupidly over priced and of a pretty poor standard for a country with the wealth the UK has. A few people I know mirror those thoughts. Go to decent parts of Europe, the US and most are of a higher standard at a greatly reduced cost. Anyone ever stayed in 'The Star' in Southampton?

Devon Car Show
It's a shame that no one in the region wants to organise this. I would, but don't really have the time. Was good last year.

So is it just plug and play then with this? You don't need to change any of the trunking, motor blower solenoids etc?

FAO 80's Kids
Not going to be in anyway bias here, but IMHO, as an 80's kid and looking at the crap that get shown now, we did indeed have the lion's share in 'cool' stuff....I'm sure most will agree!

Wish us luck!
Oh no, you poor bastard! Good luck mate! Hope all goes well.

pearl white respray
I'd take it to someone that's competant with spraying pearl. It's a 3 stage paint, so you get the base colour, the pearlcoat and then the top coat lacquer. I've seen some truely awful pearl resprays with dark patches and poor coatings. Dark patches can be hard to spot in a spray booth as light reflects on pearl coats in lots of different ways. So can be easy to hash up if care is not taken. I was reluctant at first to get mine done, but was recommended by Jimmer on the forum who uses a chap that has quite a bit experience spraying pearls. He does a lot of custom VW vans and many of those have part pearl/full pearl resprays. So entrusted him with it and overall happy with the work done to mine.....it's by no means perfect (as I'm a really picky bastard!), but it's good enough. I also had my paint fully detailed shortly after the respray to get the top coat as good as possible. Few of these pics are pre-detail and if you look hard you can just make out vague buffer trails.

tailgate respray
You'll need half a litre of paint, that's going to cost about £40. If yours is metallic, add another £30 - £40 for lacquer, if it's pearl, add another £40 for the pearl coat. So, you could have close to £100 just for paint. Then you have filler, papers, thinners, hardners, polishes etc. Plus time to strip down and rebuild, mask, paint, bake, finish off etc etc. Z tailgates have quite a bit of trim on them and are rather large. You'll need at least a days labour. Circa £250 + dependant upon where you take it.
-
tailgate respray
At LEAST that for labour. Depends how far you go, whether you take the spoiler off, whether you take the weatherseal off the window. You'll also have to do the otherside as well, so IMHO, I'd have the window removed. I'd budget about £500 including paint and materials.

Overfuelling.....OH NO!!!!!!

Took my 85 year old Great Aunt out in the Z yesterday! LOL
Yesterday my cousin got married and I ended up taking the Z. Now my Great Auntie Margaret who we all call super-gran still lives on her own, goes hiking up on the mendips every day etc. She's just been hand-gliding for her 85th and wants to go bungee jumping as well. Anyway, she's a right hoot and has always wanted to go out in the Z. So after the wedding ceremony, it was decided that she hop in for the drive up over the mendips to Bath and on to the reception. Knowing what she was like I thought it would be funny to take the car up to full boost in 1st 2nd and 3rd and she absolutely loved it! Seeing an 85 year old being taken off on a reasonably hard launch asking me to 'do it again' and chucking away was pure comedy! Wished I'd had the digi cam with me! LOL

I got pulled tonight!!!!!
PMSL Dave! Nice one. I've yet to be advised of my front plate and that's been on there close 2 two years too. Police have looked at the car as I've been at lights or waiting to pull in/out of a road and they never bat an eye-lid. :)

Yeah, but if you start selling things on here as a non-subscriber, then everyone would want to start, benefit to members or not. Not to mention the security factor.

Clear corners.com latest
I love the clear corners products and if I had the spare $£$£$ I'd be getting my rear 99-specs converted. Mike, I've seen your products when I was out in California last year. Chap I know in L.A (Arnel) has some corner markers. They looked great. Infact, isn't the silver Z in on your website his car?

Beet 300zx and M30Z For Sale in Japan
It's still one of the nicest kits available for the Z32...just shows that there's so much crap on the market for them unfortunately. I still like it, few bits I'd change on it, but overall, it's a nice look kit.
