It looks nasty...BUT, that's only because it's gone too far. There are some nice things under that garish paint job and greenhouse bonnet.

You're best off welding new metal in rather than fill it with 3" of filler. Filler really shouldn't be used to build up from that much depth. Filler should be lightly skimmed on and blocked down. :)

They are a different kind of car to the Z. It's not something I'd use in the same way as the Z. I don't even drive the Z that hard. I love the looks and noise of the old LT1s. Really raw and can be tuned for very little. Pretty much bullet proof engine too.
