  1. Nice idea. Yeah, would suite light coloured cars really well. :)
  2. 'Imitation Dump Valve' anyone? LOL I like the idea of the car though.
  3. As I said, try your local motorfactors. Partco should be able to help.
  4. I don't find there's much noise through the boot and certainly wouldn't bother fitting it there Dave unless I was going for a big install. You've got polystyrene sections, trim and carpet in the boot and you're also sat the other side of the car. I don't find it weighs much either. Picked up a roll of Ivanhoe today and it really isn't worth worrying about in terms of weight. Where I'm talking are the doors. I've experienced cars with and without sound deadening and the difference is really noticeable. I want a nice thud and decent sound resolution. Thing with the Z doors is there's sod-all in the way of sound deadening. The speaker mounts are metal against metal and not insulated, the door skin has a small complimentary piece of sound deadening in there which does the square root of fook-all. The door frame itself has nothing what so ever. Pretty poorly insulated which is why you don't get the best sound definition and also quality of thud when you close the door. I will also do the transmission tunnel and rear quarters. (inner arches, we all know how audible gravel and debris is when it his the arch. Again, there are a few token bits of rubber sound deadening which look pitiful and don't do a huge amount.
  5. Anyone heard of the Ferrari...Supercar??
  6. Try your local motor factors.
  7. It's about 3 sq metres I believe. 1M = approx 3 feet.
  8. Sorry, not sure where I got the 'substantially quieter than'. I meant substantially cheaper.
  9. Just wondering if anyone's bought this stuff. It's substantially quieter than Dynamat. I am thinking of buying it. 10 Sq ft is about £23. For that money, you'd barely have enough to do one door with Dynamat. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-Sq-Ft-eDead-Original-Sound-Deadening-Dynamat-EDO01_W0QQitemZ310030784984QQihZ021QQcategoryZ1498QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  10. Maybe, but hell, you wanted chrome window trims! Get back in your pimpin' 60's Cadillac! ;)
  11. Problem? I asked a question. That's not a problem.
  12. Not always leather, but NO tweed. Might be better off getting series 2 door cards and retrimming your seats with new seat skins from leatherseats.com or something. The trimming of the door cards and other interior panels is very expensive if you want to do it properly. You could simply stick vynil over them, but stitched on leather looks 10x better.
  13. Nice set of deep dish rims and if you have change, a series 2 interior. :)
  14. Your ass must be that big it has its own post code! No wonder they made the Z32 so wide! LOL ;)
  15. Mine's a series 1, so can't imagine they would have the loom tucked away as electric passenger seat was never available on these. Mind you, Nissan may have made 1 common loom for LHD and RHD with electric feeds for both sides. Cheaper that way sometimes. I can see they'd put the loom in some cars that came without electric seats full stop as it was an option whereas electric pax seat on series 1 was never an option. I'll take up the carpet and have a look. :)
  16. With Wales and Scotland, it's slightly different. Catchment area in Wales tends to be the South Coast of Wales, IE, most people live within about 30 miles of either Cardiff or Newport. Similar is for Scotland, Edinburgh and Glasgow are only about 30 miles apart. Ireland is a hard one though.
  17. I don't envy you for the job you have to do. Geographically, it's a large area and everyone in it is pretty well spread out. I remember in my old car club, the same situation occurred. They ended up creating a Western Region which pretty much went from Bristol (and surrounding area) up to Worcester. Worked quite well.
  18. I've got a series 2 passenger seat to fit when I've trimmed the front seats. Managed to get a bit of loom and seat connector from the drivers side from series 1 breaker at Zedworld. 1st question: Can I simply run a spur from the drivers side over to the passenger side? 2nd question: Are the connectors on the drivers' seat the same as the passenger seat? Thanks
  19. Boltblue.com used to do it I think. Why don't you just buy a cheapo PAYG SIM when you're in Spain? Will save the hassle of having to find a computer every time you want to go and text someone. I always do it when I'm out in the US.
  20. Yeah rundown is great. Especially when you downshift. You loose all of that 'interactive noise' if you will, with an Auto.
  21. Looking good. Nice to see another Bristolian Z owner.
  22. I'd like to go. :)
