  1. Personally wouldn't fit push-on spacers. You're far better getting bolt-on spacers. Much safer. http://www.driftworks.com/catalog/products/driftworks-15mm-to-30mm-wheel-spacers.html
  2. Time to put some nitrous on that!
  3. Warm soapy water. I left it to dry though. I did it when all my door cards were off.
  4. Nope, nothing. It's not as good as a new car, but they certainly feel much better.
  5. Just normal vynil care spray. Like back to black.
  6. You got rid of that single pipe didn't you. :)

That's what I don't get, people spending hours in order to make their car look like ass.

Two thumbs down. You loose body definition with shineless paint. It's a battered looking heap!
  9. I fixed mine without even having to buy that. I cleaned the webbing down and then used a silicon spray on them. Wiped them clean and now they fly back into the reels. I might give this a go though too. :)

Fair dos. :duffer: BTW, Dub scene is basically the VW boys.
  11. Have a good one lads! :duffer:

Found some more pics of rat-look cars.....

I've NEVER understood the 'rat-look'...or rather aspiring to have a car that looks like a shed! Why would you possibly want to drive around in something that looks more at home in a breakers yard? Something like the Z gets respect when it's powerful and clean. I've lost track with the amount of people who said that most Z32s they see are utter shit boxes. I don't know why you want to add to that populous. The whole rat-look comes from the dub scene and it's not liked particularly by the majority of enthusiasts.

    Cheers. ;)
  15. If it was black, it could have been old_zed.
  16. Can they arch roll without having to have the section repainted? Does it weaken the seams promoting rust? Wouldn't mind getting mine done...

Dipped beam on Z32s isn't the greatest. HID upgrade is the way to go and totally transforms them.

Sounds like turbos. But change the PCVs anyway as a temp measure. It might cure the problem, but it might not.

When does it smoke and what colour is the smoke?
  20. Billyboat!!!!!!!! My FAVOURITE exhaust for the Z by a light year! Nice one mate! I'd love to have those sticking out the back of my Z!
  21. You get all of that from the Z as well as the looks! I don't dislike the r33, far from it, but something as nice as James' car, I'd NEVER sell for an R33. Someone really has got a bee in their bonnet! I've driven Skylines, granted, not the GTR, but I can't say the driving position is better than the Z32. It's all personal preference at the end of the day. I could have gone out and bought an R33 GTR...but, I prefer the styling and seemingly, the exclusivity of owning a Z32.
  22. Is this the infamous ka$h who used to use this forum who had a peppermint coloured wide bodied Z?
  23. Ordered one of these now. Headunit is now wired in! All works perfectly apart from lack of radio, but the connector arrives on Monday. It's odd having a stereo again, I rarely listened to the old system as the speakers/wiring were so shite. Sounds pretty reasonable for a 4 speaker system. But will have my sub in there before too long. Quality is good! Not as much bass definition as I'd have hoped, but it's not bad. But with the sub going in, it should sound really good. Was worth doing the sound deadening, I get zero resonance through the doors. So it's doing its job! Was quite strange tinkering around in the interior just now whilst watching Bladerunner! lol
  24. I've got Alpine speakers all round now. I've removed all the old wiring and gutted the Bose speaker boxes (to get rid of the little amps). What you're probably finding is that your existing stereo is overpowering the amps in the speakers and you're getting poor speaker performance. The original Bose headunit had a lower powered amp with secondary amps in all speaker enclosures. So when an aftermarket system is fitted, these tend to be 4x35w or more, they just push the speakers beyond the threshold and they make all sorts of strange noises. Mine used to crackle. But I now have new speakers and cables as well as a new headunit. PLUS, I've sound deadened the doors and speaker enclosures...so...with a bit of luck, it should sound reasonable. I have a sub to fit too once I've made a contoured/carpeted box.
  25. A shit one at that! We all have them I guess! LOL Your car is one of the very best of the forum, I'd go so far as to say that it is probably my favourite on here. You have it at such a good level now. You can't just sell it.
