Don't like skylines
Ugliest Evo is by far the Evo 6. Seems to be people's favourite model for some reason, but if you look at it, it's a ******* cross between a Mitsubishi Carisma and a Proton GL with half a boat grafted on to it. I don't mind the 7, 8 and 9 and really like the new Evo 10. I know this is a TMK, but the 5 and 6 are desperately ugly.

ltalvolanti steering wheels
Never liked the stock wheel. One of the few things that didn't really get me going about the Z! LOL That, the horn and the indicator stalk are 3 of the most under-engineered and understyled things on the whole car.

Don't like skylines
It's the same with many Japanese GT cars. I think they were experimenting during the 80s and early 90s. IMO, the Supra isn't much better, especially with the most miserable of dashboards. The GTO has oddball appearance. Out of those 3 though, they Skyline is the nice one. Looks more exotic despite the very very bland interior. Great cars mechanically and they do have vivid appeal to them. They do have much better road presence than the Supra or GTO. The only 2 Japanese GT cars that I've really liked the appearance of have been the Honda NSX and the Nissan 300zx. I also quite like the old Starion and MK2 Supra.

my first 300
UK rear wheels too! Nice one. keep it as it is! Not many like that left now.

thoughts on these wheels
They look good on that, but probably because of the arches and the fact that the rears are about 12" wide. I don't think they'd work on anything else. Do you even know what make they are? Cause I don't. lol

ltalvolanti steering wheels
Ok cool, although I am up on Saturday AGW. Ideally I would like a new one, but quite happy to look at getting a used one and have it retrimmed.

ltalvolanti steering wheels
I've been looking for an old-skool steering wheel for my Z. Namely the Momo Daytona, but also by another manufacturer called Italvolanti. I missed out by £1 on an Italvolanti 'Line' steering wheel that recently went out on ebay. Just wondering, does anyone know where I can buy brand new versions of these? The feeling is that I have is that Italvolanti don't exist anymore. Basically, it's the leather version of the top wheel.... Here's another pic....

Model Railway
One of my parents neighbours converted part of his garden into a huge tram set. Built the whole things himself. Long since dead now, but a very interesting old man. If I remember, I'll try and dig out some old photos of it when I see the 'rents next.

Whats the worst car youve had.
Yeah, it was fun. Shame I didn't have any video of it. Clutch was slipping like anything. I took it across a field after that. Mega fun. There was grass and mud all over the roof.

Model Railway
I did have a Hornby railway set. Was only a little track, but I loved it. I had a shunter and a flying scotsman as well as a few carriages. I miss that smell that all Hornby motors used to make. I always wanted Fleischmann stuff though, but, iirc, it was pretty expensive. I had a very wealthy friend who's parents owned a small castle in a place called Butleigh and he had huge amounts of Fleischmann gear as well as some really cool model boats. IMO, I think stuff like this is fantastic.

Mk3 Golf 1.4CL About 5 or 6 years ago, I bought a horrid little J reg VW Golf MK3 with T&T for under £100 whilst my other car was having engine work done to it. What's funny is that I made £100 on it though when I sold it after I'd thraped the nuts off it. I was a little hard-up at the time, otherwise, I would have killed it as it was a hateful car. You needed arms of steel to change the gears in the miserable 4 speed gearbox and turn the wheel. There were absolutely no redeeming qualities about this car what so ever. I tried killing it by driving it through a river. It had been modified by some girl who didn't really know what she was doing. Her boyfriend had removed all the rubbing strips and had slapped acres of filler and fibreglass into the recesses. I did have fun chiselling it all off and booting off the M3 Mirraz! 2 blobs over that washer jets which I had to hammer out. LOL. You can see the ripple effect on the doors.

There must have been something very very wrong with it.

Rare "2+2 SWB"
Apart from the fact that the spoiler appears to have been 'thrown' on. LOL at the gearnob too. Looks in pretty decent shape, interior's tidy for a series 1.

Thinking of getting these, what do you think?
They'll looks cheap IMO. I think the new S-class is an ugly mofo anyway.

I quite like that. Silver, as always, is a great colour. Only thing letting it down are the 'fly-tip' seats. Awful condition and colour.

Wheel fitment
Fronts will be fine. Coilovers won't save the rubbing on the rear. The rears will stick out over the lip. You'll need to roll the lip, especially if you're dropping it.
-
Wheel fitment
Fronts will, you will need to roll the rear arches if you don't want rubbing.

Real world zed fault cause`s
I have no photos of the underside. It's not like new, but very good for a Z. All of the OEM suspension parts have zero corrosion, the box sections, chassis rails, ARB, subframe etc are the same. They clean really easily too. I've gotta spent a couple of hours on it when I get a chance as I've not done it for ages. I don't even think it saw much wet weather use in Japan. I'd love to get in concourse, but I can't be bothered. Contrary to popular belief, I do like to get out and drive it in the summer as much as I can and I can't be bothered with keeping the underside mirror polished.
