  1. Totally agreed with you there. A lot have had hideous body modifications done to them. It is a shame as the car is naturally beautiful and needs little in the way of visual enhancements. You will find tidy/stock ones about; these are always the best to go for and generally sell better. Unmolested ones look a lot better too. There are some nice kits/add ons, but these are of the subtle type and most people when modifying tend to go for the ugly/lairy stuff as it stands out more....but more often than not, for completely the wrong reasons!
  2. Gutted Dave. But ditch the rOver and get something decent. Any old banger. Better than ploughing money into a car that's worth practically nothing. Saves money for the Z. Get an old Mondeo or Vectra from the auctions for a few hundred quid.
  3. As with Jeff, probably a loose or corroded injector connector.
  4. Terry's chocolate orange?
  5. Yup, A610 Alpine was my favourite. I liked the old 70s version too.
  6. Exactly, they have no personality. That was what French cars were always about. Something with a personality. Even the 2CV, which was a horrid car had a personality. Anyone ever remember this? I had a matchbox model of it when I was a kid. Citroen CX Turbo 2. I used to have a thing for the Renault 19 16v too. I even owned a French car once and it was one of the most under rated hot hatches available at the time. It produced more power than Vauxhall's C20XE/20XE engine, handled better than VWs Golf and looked pretty neat.
  7. LOL. If it did, then 50% of this forum have it out of a population that has about 5% of cases.
  8. 2 key people in this this thread.... There, their and they're. These three words sound the same, but they are spelt differently, and mean different things. There is about place. There it is! Over there! Their is about belonging. The children keep their books in their desks. (The books and the desks belong to the children.) They're is short for they are. :)
  9. Did it have Polish or Slovak number plates?
  10. There are some odd things we never got over here thankfully. I am sure people that have been to Greece, Turkey, Egypt etc remember seeing a sedan version of the Clio called the 'Thalia'. If anyone's been to India, then you may recall seeing a Fiesta saloon called the Ikon! I was horrified to see this riding around the streets of Mumbai! Corsa saloon for the South African market. A serious case when superminis look stupid either in saloon form or estate form. In much the same way as large cars look stupid in hatchback format. The Rover 800 fastback was a prime example of this!
  11. Think yourself lucky that the UK never got the 206 sedan!
  12. Yup, I like the new Mazda 3 too.
  13. Congrats Vig! Good luck too!
  14. Not sure it's necessarily hot hatches. Some of Peugeots cars were kinda sleek and elegant, but now they all look like they've either been punched in the face or modeled on a basking shark. The old 406 looked MUCH nicer. ...even the 405 looks better than the 407.
  15. Has anyone seen an attractive looking Peugeot lately? I was watching a news article about some of the Toyota recalls, these are affecting PSA in Poland too where the C1 and 107 are produced....just got me thinking how revolting and ungainly they now all look with their stupid over sized grilles and out of proportion body lines. Their car selection as faced when you look at their home page looks more like a group of failed audition entrants from Rude Dog and the Dweebs...just look at this collection of cretinous looking vehicles. I mean, can anyone honestly say when the look at this lot 'those cars look cool'...? Rumour has it that Peugeot designers went out for lunch in 1998 and never returned! I am not a big French car fan, but Peugeot used to build some pretty decent looking cars... Now, we get to see the following horrid creations. :hurl:
  16. Most people would if they still lived at home with their parents. :p
  17. Important Notes B – Women not permitted to drive. Looks like Saudi Arabia have their heads screwed on! Actually do remember not seeing a single woman behind the wheel of a car when I was in Saudi Arabia! Never twigged! LOL
  18. Thanks guys. Who the hell is Stuart though Danny??????????????????? Since I'm off to Argentina next Christmas, may as well just get one I suppose.
  19. ^^^ nsxprime is a pretty good site too.
  20. Some ideas... HRE wheels on this. Facelift rear bumper and some wings west skirts (look similar to the below) are about the only things that look good on the NSX.
  21. Nice one! Just don't go putting a bodykit on it like your Z! LOL Nice subtle drop, some classy wheels and you're set. :)
  22. Off to South Africa on Monday. Does anyone know if an International Drivers' Permit is required for South Africa? I know in the days before photo card licences, you needed an international drivers' licence as I used to have to get them for the USA. But since getting my photocard licence, I've never had to. Now my God father, who's a QC phoned me up earlier to say he needed one when he went to South Africa a few years ago, so I'd assumed he'd be correct since he's a man of law. Bit I can't find anything that tells me whether I have a photo card licence that I'll need one? AFAIK, I don't, just want to make sure as this is my first trip to SA. Anyone know?
