Pretty much nothing gets me interested and hooked. Only thing that does I guess are factual series and documentaries as these tend not to drag on and my interest doesn't wander. I watched 3 episodes of Lost and lost interest. Just in the same way as soaps and series after series of dramas etc. I can never continuously make time for something that I need to watch to keep up with the story lines. I watch precious little TV anyway.

Nope, her boyfriend's brother is getting married. Open air wedding at a vineyard. Should be nice! Whale watching, although it's off season right now. 20miles of pretty much deserted beaches....the 'free family accomodation and an assortment of vehicles to borrow', plus we're only an hour from Cape Town. So it's a good base as well as a lovely place to stay. Plenty of really cool mountain hiking trails as well.

Fuji S700. I am looking at getting an SLR when I get back home. The Fuji is the last point before you get an SLR. But it has limitations. I want to be able to get some filters and different lenses. I think I'm pretty reasonable at taking a good scene, but max out with the limitations of my camera. This is what I have...

Actually I do like Cricket, that I could quite happily have come here for. Half the reason I am out here is for a wedding actually, the rest of course, is holiday! Mid-summer here, so very nice. It's wierd to think it's close to freezing back home. Not that I am complaining or anything! Just sat out on the veranda now. Sun is very strong around midday, so in a bit of shade as my sister has fair skin...dark skinned me just goes brown! Think we're all off to the beach again in a while. BBQ this evening. :)

You should go Dave! I drove from Cape Town down the coast to Hermanus yesterday and the roads are fantastic, not just smooth, wide and traffic free, but the scenery is epic! On par with the drive over the mountains in California into the Sonoran desert.

Lovely and warm here right now! It was snowing when I took off from Heathrow, but by the time I arrived in Cape Town....t-shirt and shorts! Certainly enjoying the summer again!
