  2. :hurl: Does it come with the following as standard?
  3. Been covered more times than WMD. Search is your friend. ;)
  4. Won't be doing that again I guess. :(
  5. Agreed. The only decent performance Mondeo was the ST220. It's one of the few Mondeos I actually like. I had a 55 plate Mondeo TDCi a few years ago and I never understood the hype. Found it bland and lifeless. Horrible dash and shitty switchgear. Just didn't see why Mondeos were raved about. I had a 55 plate Vectra 1.9 CDTi before that which was infinately nicer to drive. But I do like the ST220. Pretty car too.
  6. (apart from the gay filler cap)
  7. This is actually a Cadillac Catera....although badged up as an Omega. Shame we never got the V8 versions. GM tried fitting one to the platform, but it was just too big for a straight swap.
  8. Yeah, the V6 cam belts are a little more involving. I fitted a 2.5 V6 into my old Astra Cabriolet and they do take a bit of time. If it was a 2.0 16v then they are pretty quick to do. If they are the 2.2 then they don't even need doing! LOL :)
  9. Yup, very nice to drive. Still look reasonably modern and are loaded with toys....they are now the price of a NA Z! 1500 will buy you an 8 year old one and if you're lucky, the odd Irmscher kitted one will pop up for not much more. These were some 35k new. The one above is over priced, but looks ok. The wheels don't suit it at all. Need big chunky 5 spokes for these cars.
  10. Unless you find a mint GSi, I'd not bother with a Carlton. Too old-hat now. If you wanted something from that ilk, then an Omega MV6 is the best route to go for. Vauxhall always knew how to build good RWD cars. Senator, Carlton, and the Omega were all good and the press liked them.
  11. Yeah, that's the sport model, same as the one I posted. They have those really nice wheels which do wonders for the overall look.
  12. If you want me to sort out a GB when you know Z1 will supply, let me know. I'll have a chat with Russell, John or Josh at Z1 and get it arranged since I know them.
  13. Does look good. I think with the original bonnet, 99 spec front end and rear lights and it would look perfect. :)
  14. Evos are sooooooooooooooooooooo ugly and they are a 4 banger....and sound poop. Great mechanicals though. I do admire that and their performance. But could never own something that ugly. The newer ones are far nicer. 5 and 6 are grotesque.

  16. Absolutely no hint of any offset info. Good find though. Suspect they'll be an aggressive fitment in which case arch work maybe needed....which would be the crucial factor.
  17. Dude, that sucks! Did they break into the unit itself? Thought it was pretty much out of the way up there. I am sure the culprits knew you guys!
  18. That era of Mondeo is th ugliest. Looks like a potato. Give me the Vectra any day....despite it being a Vectra. I'd probably go for a Mitsubishi Galant/Legnum VR4. Some do pop up for around the 3K mark Or how about a sporty jap luxo barge. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201010354504381/sort/pricedesc/usedcars/price-to/3000/price-from/2000/make/lexus/radius/1500/postcode/ta66ur/page/2/quicksearch/true?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201010354184437/sort/pricedesc/usedcars/price-to/3000/price-from/2000/make/lexus/radius/1500/postcode/ta66ur/page/2/quicksearch/true?logcode=p Always had a soft spot for the old GS http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201010354570745/sort/pricedesc/usedcars/price-to/3000/price-from/2000/make/lexus/postcode/ta66ur/radius/1500/page/3/quicksearch/true?logcode=p
  19. Yup, got a Marin Rock Springs! Hopefully the weather will be a bit better next weekend and I'll go for a ride up the Quantocks!
  20. Make sure everything is running well first. Make sure it's had a good and thorough service. Get it hooked up on Conzult to check all the sensors are working/set correctly. Make sure you have the cooler running NGK spark plugs. Then you can look at getting a replacement ECU chip with a better fueling map and then get yourself a boost controller.
  21. There's still a huge difference. You need to take it to a recommended garage and let them quote. You could be paying 300 quid from a crappyback street garage. Muppet motors won't do the best job by far, but they'll get the paint on...as well as dust and silica particls! But you could spend thousands and thousands getting a high quality blow over and even more for engine/windows out jobbie. Thought about putting the original bonnet back on?
  22. Wasn't offended.
  23. How long is a ball of string? Depends on where you take it, what quality of repaint your after and what type of repaint you need. There is a simply monumental variance.
