  1. That Bomex one looks horrible. Airfix kit on wheels. I love that car! If it's it's only done 10,000 miles, think it's pretty cheap TBH. That's about £12k. Not even sure if you'd be able to import a 99 manual TT from Japan for that. Mine will look similar after its makeover in the new year....albeit from the wheels as I'll be shooting for 19" BBS LM. :)
  2. Damn! I was in Newport Beach last month! I'd have gone to check it out if it had come up for sale then!
  3. I think they are about right. £4k buys you a very tidy manual TT...which is what you want. :)
  4. Only the top one there has fitment issues Dave, the rest are ok. Because it's such a chunky spoiler, when you're looking at it off-centre, the corners (next to the TBL) appear to stick out.
  5. Maybe this should be in 'non z-related'. Just a thought....
  6. Damn shame it's not go the original Impul front bumper as the rest of the kit is Impul. Nice though, be great if you could source an Impul front bumper. One did appear on Ebay about a year ago.
  7. The two people I know who've had them said they fitted no problem. They look good quality in the flesh.
  8. Hopefully, they're ditching half of the fibreglass junk and horrible accessories they have on there for the Z32!
  9. Yes, they look fantastic. Seen a bunch of them in the states. Good quality. High level spoilers are a thing of the past. :)
  10. Leave it plain. :(
  11. It's still ugly. Not quite as garish as it was before though. Shame the photos are so poor as I do actually quite like kandy paints if done nicely.
  12. No, base map is safety mode. You wouldn't need to do anything. Resetting the ECU would mean it would 'learn' again. Simply unhook the battery for a few minutes. Code 34 will tend to throw up if the car is in safety mode anyway. If your ECU is reading a buggered O2 sensor, then the ECU will put itself into safety mode and you'll get Code 34 I'd replace the O2 sensor if you know it's faulty, reset the ECU (disconnecting the battery) and run it for a few minutes, then check for codes.
  13. Unlikely, o2 sensors tend to make the car run rich when they fail/start to fail. A buggered O2 sensor is likely to put the car into base map...ie higher fueling. Det picks up knock which is generally caused by pre-ignition as you've suggested.
  14. Certainly 'uncool'. I think a lot of people call them '****' and '****ing ****'!
  15. Evidently not, which is why you saw the light and painted it a flattering colour rather than a drab colour. :)
  16. Olive drab, bomex front bumper and now this? Christ! You need to go to the doctors for some assessment! It's odd as you do have taste...somewhere; hence your new wheels and the fact that you haven't ruined your Z....yet!
  17. Best thing you can do is to fit a hidden switch that cuts power to the fuel pump. This will probably cost you the grand sum of about £5. Get yourself a switch from RS or something. Little toggle switch. Hide it somewhere such as under the dash. Run a few wires to the fuel pump and solder. Prospective thief won't know and won't waste his time looking for it. If he can't steal the car within about 15 seconds, he'll walk away.
  18. That's really nice! Well done. Great looking car and the only pearl yellow slicktop I know of over here. Personally couldn't have a Z without the targas, but the slicktops are rare. Slickpete will be foaming at the mouth! Think those are the Bomex extensions on that. Shame the skirts have been screwed in. I'm sure you can get that sorted at some point and the windscreen/roof weatherstrips recoated black.
  19. As above and JDM cars came with no alarm from the factory either as car crime is almost ZERO in Japan. The locks are crap and flimsy. If you can't afford an alarm or immobiliser for your Z, heaven help you when you need to replace anything that breaks (which is inevitable). :(
  20. Tis true. I manage to get hold of a metal clip. The plastic ones are utter shite. Speak to JeffTT.
  21. What the originals or the neat looking facelifted lights?
  22. Indeed. Nissan got it right straight out of the box. There is very very little you can do to the Z32 to improve its looks. Fitting all amounts of fibreglass claptrap to it only ruins the car. A set of choice quality wheels and a good stance is about the only thing and a few detail features such as the facelifted rear lights.
  23. Sorry, wasn't pistonheads, it was ebay. This is simply beautiful http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1990-Nissan-300-ZX-Yellow-/280524698676?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4150933434 Another http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1994-NISSAN-300-ZX-TWIN-TURBO-GREY-Z32-/270603830086?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3f013ec346
