Cool, Model car drifting
I watched enough of it to form an opinion. I like the Skyline about 40 seconds in.

I find drifting about as appealing as white socks and sandals, but that's hilarious! :)

Looking to buy a ZX - need some advice
What is your budget? NAs will feel quite a bit different. Sure, you'll get the feel of a Z, but the power delivery on the TT is completely different.

Still undecided about the 99 skirts. I like them....I dunno. There are some nice skirts for the Z32, but none really match the 99-front end perfectly. I really like Impul, Kaminari and stillen skirts, but they fill the swage line. I'd have to stick with stock front end, stillen skirts with front and rear bumper extensions. But not sure I want to do that.- Looking to buy a ZX - need some advice
Welcome. What is everyone's take on the N/A version - is it good or do I stick to the twin turbo? What is the difference in performance like? NAs are good. But after you've driven a TT, they feel slow. NAs tend to be more reliable though and less prone to piston damage and of course there's no turbos to worry about. Personally, for a car of this calibre, I'd only have TT with manual transmission. What should I look for as give aways that a car has had a bad past other than the obvious? Most of this is covered in the buyers guide. Basically steer clear of cars with rust, smokey engines, cars with poor panel alignment, cheesy paint schemes/colours, tacky bodykits. Basically, keep a look out for the cleanest one you can. What do you guys pay in insurance and are there any good deals for insuring these cars? How long is a peice of string? Depends on age, modifications, location etc.- Facelifting the Z....tentative!
2 ways. 1, via Japanese Yahoo auctions or a new set via my friend who works for a big Audi dealership (trade rates). I'll budget around £2,500 I think. New retail they are about £3,500!! I know it's expensive, but I've ALWAYS wanted a set and I think it's just time to bite the bullet. Mine are worth about £700. New, these were about £3k.- Facelifting the Z....tentative!
Nope, I actually want the more modern look of a bluey green tint. The rear screen will have a light tint to match the black roof bars. I do like tinted black glass, but alas, in the UK, you can only tint the rear 1/4 windows and that looks terrible as it contrasts really badly with standard tint on the the front windows. As for time considerations. Well, hoping to get the wheels by the end of the year and then have it in the paint shop over the winter. It's all pretty tentive. But this is what I plan all going well.- Interesting Z32 fact for you.
None I'd imagine....as it doesn't have any!- White 1998 Twin T on PistonHeads
You said it had also been rear ended. ;)- Facelifting the Z....tentative!
I did a little photoshop. Doesn't really represent it all that well as there is waayyy too much lip on the rears (and the offset is wrong)...and the centres are not silver...and the badge is not black. I don't want them that dished. BBS LMs look better with a less pronounced lip. But gives you an idea of what mine will hopefully look like. His a super white pearl and also the newer style/UK windows.- White 1998 Twin T on PistonHeads
Pearl colours often look different on plastics compared to body.- What Spacers?
As above. Rears are cock-on. What tyres are you running? Ideal widths for those wheels are a 245 up front with a 275 at the rear to give you a nice flat tyre wall with no stretch. - Facelifting the Z....tentative!
