Just come along. I think we'll have space.

Carpets for a Z
There's more than just that Pete. The carpet sections at the front are completely different. They don't pull away on the driver's side so you can get to an ECU that isn't there, it contours differently too. You'd have to hack it around too much for it to be viable.

Big joint Southern, Western and Welsh meet at Haynes Motor Museum - 1st September
Nice work Paul! Be good to have more people along. Hopefully they'll be able to fit us all in!

Shopping twice? You big gay. :p Just picked up another member, 370 this time. So all we need is a 280 and a Z31 and we'd have a full compliment! Can't see that happening, but that's not bad!

Yeah it's pretty good. I haven't elected for it as there are too many recesses on the front of the stock TT bumper. I also drive quite far back from the car in front and it doesn't get used in winter or the wet which is when you get the majority of stone chips.

not a good day
It was the new one I bought! When I had my car repainted, I fitted blue glass and blue t-tops from a UK car. The t-top glass is in pretty reasonable shape, but I wanted them to look like brand new. I found a red UK TT at Jeff's with low mileage which had extremely tidy t-tops. This evening, I set about swapping the glass over. Now I've had t-tops apart before and rebuilt them. Easy enough, you just gotta be careful. I thought I was being careful, but overtightened one of the nuts just a little too much....and CRASH! Glass exploded everywhere. I just refitted my old glass, but it pissed me off as it was in fantastic condition. I at least now swapped over the interior trim, so not all was completely lost. FORTUNATELY, Rob Hughes also has some blue Jap spec blue t-tops in similar condition to the UK t-tops which I am having. So I can at least get my hands on others.

Cling film works wonders. Stretch it over the bits you're trying to protect from bugs, pad it down and it does stay there....generally works best on cars that have been waxed.- not a good day
Gutted. Well I did this an hour ago if it makes you feel any better!- What battery for a 300zx twin turbo?
Up her bum Dave! :p- What battery for a 300zx twin turbo?

Get in contact with a good paint supplier, they'll have the mixes listed on their system. Someone like Brown Brothers who import paints manufactured by PPG. If you know your paints, PPG are world renowned. Also bear in mind, that mixing half litres can have a dramatic effect on overall mix. Try to order the basecoat metallic and pearls in litre sizes as weights are too sensitive on small volumes which can throw the shade off by quite a way. Not entirely sure where in Essex you are, but you have a Brown Brothers there. Richard, when you've cleaned your Z, get some cling film on the bumpers and wing mirrors. Just peel it off when you get to us! Righty....final details for Sunday: Aim to be at Podimore Services by 9am - 9.15am. It'll be a good chance for everyone to meet up as there are a number of folks who'll not be taking their Z cars. I am suggested heading off in convoy about 9.45am at the absolute latest as Haynes want all cars that are going to be on show to be on-site by 10 to register and collect our wrist-bands. Haynes Museum is only about 10-15 minutes away, Now, this is a car-show, not wanting to sound anal, but please make sure your cars are clean! :) The show lasts all day and car owners in the show, you're encouraged (by the organisers) to stay until the award ceremony at 4 (given by John Haynes himself). Appreciate some of you may have commitments, like myself, I have to head to Portsmouth and I'll likely be leaving about 2pm. There will be plenty to do during the day. Museum visit, a parade lap around the track, a few group runs into the country, show & shine competitions and food, plus over 100 private cars on show from MG Midgets to Bristol Fighters and so on and so forth. Weather forecast is currently dry, but cloudy, so bring a sweater just in case you find 20 degrees a little cool. Postcode for Podimore Services is BA22 8JG. It's off of the Podimore Roundabout on the A303. If you're coming from the London direction, keep in the left lane and take the first exit off. The road kinda double backs and keep your eye out for the entrance, again, on the left - See below (Podimore Roundabout Exit on A303) If you're coming from the Yeovil/Exeter way, you go right at Podimore roundabout on the A303, so get in the right lane and turn and you'll see it signposted. There are a number of other country roads that join up with this roundabout, but the A303 is the main road. It's not the biggest service station in the world, but there should be parking there as there's a Travelodge, Burger King/Little Thief + an Esso or Total petrol station. I am not entirely sure at what part of the service station we'll meet as I'll imagine a few other car clubs will be meeting there at a similar time, but hopefully we'll be able to all bunch up together. Service station entrance. It's slightly hidden on the slip round, so keep your eyes peeled for the left turn and this is the view you'll have. If anyone gets there late and we're not there, the postcode for Haynes Motor Museum is BA22 7LH If you're coming from Podimore Roundabout, head toward Andover/London on the A303 and exit on the Sparkford/Castle Cary junction. Head down the hill until you get to the T-Junction at the bottom and turn right. Haynes Motor Museum is about 200 yards further down that road on the left. Lastly, if anyone has any problems or gets lost, my number again is 07510169836[- Carpets for a Z

No, Concept Z don't.- Big joint Southern, Western and Welsh meet at Haynes Motor Museum - 1st September???
Yeah absolutely, from Andover on a Sunday morning, you should be fine, an hour tops! Afternoon getting back might be another story. Last weekend of the school holidays, so bring something to keep you amused while you look at the back of an Eccles Topaz!- Carpets for a Z
You can still get mint ones if you hunt around. Mine are like brand new, not a single mark or wear mark (they are the originals). You want pre-94 carpets also as anything after use a cheaper low grade carpet, not the nice deep-pile high quality one you seen in earlier cars. To give you an idea, a LHD one from the US (which will be a lot cheaper) comes out at $650. So far, it looks like there aren't any black ones left. Imagine if you could source one from MJP or Nissan over here, you'll probably be about £700!- Whos bidding then??
Rob, just buy the bloody thing! You won't have to turn up in the BMW on Sunday! ha!- Whos bidding then??
