The Z is a GT...you should have bought an MR2! ;) Actually, if you say MR2 by letter and numerically in French and phonetically it's 'Emm aiir deu' (deux) which if you say it correctly actually sounds identical to MERDE! Merde meaning shit. I would never take an MR2 to France. Saying that, the suffix on my number plate on the Z is PDX....that's Pay Day Eex. Which if you pronounce the first two letters correctly sounds like 'Pede' which is the French slang for gay! With the 'X' on the end of my reg, my plate reads as a gay pornographers car.....to the French and I take my car to France quite a lot - I wonder why it gets a lot of stares! Random Sundays!

Why did you remove CC Steve? Hardly worth it! Next you'll be deleting the mirrors and wipers! lol

newbie from bristol
Another local owner! You're in a great spot too, Jimmer who runs PowerZed is in Bristol and I am not too far being in Portishead! Not sure if you've seen my car about, I take it to the Avenue Drivers' Club meets sometimes.

Same! Not just that, but AC is great for getting rid of steamy windows. Unless I had a track-car, I'd see it completely as a 'de-specifying' activity. 2 things I'd never remove = AC and CC!!! :)

It does look like a good spot and places to put various club banners too! I've just put this up on zclub.net too - http://zclub.net/forum/showthread.php?p=207880#post207880 , so hopefully we'll get some other chassis types along, which would be great. Already we have 24 cars, that's damn good!

Do we have any preference for area? I can use my charm to see about selecting an prefered area. I can ask about getting a pitch adjacent to a walkway.

Z centre crystal rear lights
'Genuine'? Don't think they've been copied. My take on them as I have seen a number of them fitted. They're 'ok', but their fitment isn't that great. The curve of the lights is more acute than that of the rear curve of the hatch area and they appear to 'bulge'. The quality is a 'ok', but the bezel outline is poor, doesn't angle correctly, is too thin and you can see intermitant red outlines around the black bezel. As a style, there is no matching centre panel, you use your existing one which is different. The only way go get round that would be to paint your rear panel gloss back. I personally wouldn't fit them for the reasons above. They are LOT nicer than the round rear light conversions, but I'm not a massive fan of them, but they don't bother me at all. :)

Only feels like a few years ago too that I first got that car. Never owned a car as long as I've owned my Z! I've had 30+ cars, but have had the Z for what seems like forever and I have no plans in selling either!

Indeed - however, my Z still looks like a 300zx, it was always gonna be a 'wheels and suspension' car. :) I love the 2+2 now from the side profile. TBH, I like both and have no real preference.

Have a look on the Beaulieu website, it will give you an idea and cast your eye over the map in the first post. It is a 'family friendly' type of place, so there'll be something for your son. - - - Updated - - - Pretty sure it's pay on the day, Steve will confirm.

I'm looking forward to seeing that stock UK pearl yellow - looks exceptionally clean from the other photos I've seen of it. Who's is it?

Approaching 20...ALREADY! This is starting to shape up very quickly! Once we get the Zclub involved and the 350z/370z guys, we should double that number easily!
