Couple of small jobs sorted today
karl300zx (now banned) had fitted one to his Z32. I am interested to see it in a car without a garish interior, look forward to seeing it all fitted up! :) His car was stomach-churningly revolting.

Crew were all winched off.

The coaster that was impaled on rocks on the south west of France a few days ago....
The saddest sight I saw of her were her two sections broken, yet all the lights on and radar heads still rotating. Surprised that generator kept going for as long as it did!

http://gcaptain.com/watch-as-huge-waves-split-cargo-ship-in-half-video/ Full HD video of it breaking up. A sad sight. I am sure Lexx has seen this - watch it full screen.

found this made me laugh
Haha! However, most Hondas can be heard because of nasty horrid exhausts. Hope yours was quieter than your mouth! ;) PS....I hate kids! :)

found this made me laugh
Haha. Another nice one.

found this made me laugh
The kid that wrote it was either a troll or a teenager with no common knowledge of cars other than what he and his mates drive. Ricer is a bit of a shitty term, so is slammed, dumped, ratted, murdered out, hella flush, zorst......so much awfulness in the car scene!

Decision to remove veilside kit and return to Original......
You know, I had that song rattling in my head as I type that out!

found this made me laugh
....and this is why I am glad I own a Twin Turbo! LOL Actually quite like the CRX Del Sol, nice looking little cars and they drive well. You hardly see them about anymore. Most that you used to see where modified badly with ghastly bodykits and lurid paint schemes! As with Z32s, they look best in relatively unfettled form. Without the spoiler, they do look a little like a mini ute though, as this poverty-spec highlights!

Read that before. There's so much bullshit on the interwebs.

Decision to remove veilside kit and return to Original......
I will add though, the 2+2 really needs something on the bootlid. It's too long and sloping for it not to. It needs something however small to kick the back end up slightly; nothing big though, as again, great bit spoilers look so out of place on the car. :) A stock spoiler, 94+, 99, Central20 (if you can find one) or probably my favourite, the TwinZ spoiler that JoelyP has.

Wheels from 350z
No no those are tyre sizes and they appear very skinny. Wheel dimensions are required. How wide are the wheels and what offset are they? Widths will vary between an 8j and higher generally.

Missing my Z!
Joel, I found you an answer. It's in the form of something derv-like and of French origin. It's dull, it's bland, but it's cheap, comfy and big. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2001-PEUGEOT-406-LX-HDI-90-GREEN-/390765472445?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item5afb6feabd

Wheels from 350z
They're aftermarket wheels and they'll fit. PCD, Centrebore and general offsets are pretty much that of the Z32. Do you have the specs of the wheels? Required are diameter, width and offset. Can advise on tyre size then.

Decision to remove veilside kit and return to Original......
Good decision on both counts! Firstly, if you've had your Z for years and years and years, you know it inside out. It might appear cheaper on the outside to replace it, but if you've put time and money into it, you know you can rely on that rather than buying a potential 'unknown'. As for removal of the Veilside kit, that's music to my ears! I think the Z32 preservation society has gained another member! ;) The Z32's natural stock lines are some of the most beautiful. Big ugly bodykits have never suited the smooth and elegant curves of the Z32, the Veilside kit being the least attractive of them all. Glad you're heading back to how it looks its best. You won't be disappointed and you'll want to turn round and admire it at every chance. Nissan did a wonderful job of the styling, you'll be pleased as punch when you get it to how you want it! :)

Missing my Z!
No neeeeed! :) Can't use the power in the rain, more dangerous, increases the risk of corrosion, more accidents happen in the winter/wet. I know cars are 'meant' to be driven and yours/mine does. But it's no fun in the wet, so I see no point in risking anything. I love driving it in the summer when you can use the power and visibility is better. :)

Missing my Z!
Miserable! Guessing the garage has dried out as best it can? Still any further threat? I guess tomorrow will tell!
-
Missing my Z!
Think I'd have sold my Z if I didn't have a place to store it. Been garaged every winter/wet day ever since I've had it.

Missing my Z!
Nasty! Sorry to hear that Andrew. Did this all happen last night? You think you'll move your car to higher ground?

Missing my Z!
I've been doing bits and pieces to mine, but I'd really like to get the car out of the garage to spend a day on it. Whilst I 'can' work in the garage, it's far easier with it out on the driveway. I want to properly install a small amp that AndrewG gave me, but also to fit some new component speakers that I'll order soon! :) It is nice to work on the car with no time constraints. I have some of the interior pulled out on in mine, glass down, T-tops off....something I couldn't 'leave' if I didn't have a garage. I can just go and potter around with it whenever I have some spare time.

Missing my Z!
Damn! Was your Z in the garage? It's pretty bad down my way. My parents live in Glastonbury, but fortunately they're on the side of a hill! The levels have turned back to 'swamp' from whence they came! Portishead has fortunately been absolutely fine, even the level 5 Severn Bore that we had whilst I was in Germany didn't do anything. I think Portishead is just lucky! Far enough up the estuary not to encounter the full force of a storm swell, but also far enough downstream so as not to be affected by rivers overflowing their banks.

These cars are too good to modify.
I completely agree and have been saying this for years! The counter argument is to 'smooth' the swage line in. I've seen that done and it makes the car look like a blancmange mould. It's also the contour of the drop sides. Almost all of the commonly sold aftermarket bumpers are like this - almost as if the person that made or designed them didn't see the car that he was building the bumper for. True, but even with skirts, the front bumper flairs out waayyy too much. Not to mention the fact that the dropsides curve inward above the skirts toward the swage line, so even then it never matches and the WW skirts have a strange little 'field mouse' vent on them. I've never understood why that vent is there. The skirts themselves wouldn't be too bad if it weren't for that tiny strange and oddly placed vent.
