What did you do to your zed today?
Potentially, but that too is bonded to the rear of the seal. You can separate them. But for the cost and relative ease, I'd just have them taken out. It certainly wouldn't be as noticeable as having the rear screen masked though, but the quarter windows tuck up under the roof frame, so masking wouldn't be easy.

Yes, but you don't need to if you cut them out correctly. My rear quarter glass has been in and out twice now.

You make sure you cut through the bonding. There's a layer of that between the glass seal and the car body. You can't buy new seals for the side glass.

The whole lot needs to come out as one. The main seal around it is a bonded rubber/metal composite that can be removed from the glass, but you'd pretty much wreck it in doing so; refitting would never happen as it distorts and messes up. I have tried it a number of times, it's why Nissan supply as a complete unit with the seal bonded on. TBH, they're not that difficult to remove complete if you know what you're doing, certainly easier than trying to remove the seal that's bonded to the glass.

They charged me £150 to take out the rear screen, refit and also do both the rear quarter windows. They've very reasonable. IMO, a small price to pay for doing the job properly and not having mask lines and overspray in the window seals (one of my biggest pet-hates).

You chose National Windscreens too. I found them excellent. Good value and the guys there take their time also. My OEM seal wasn't old and in excellent condition and they were able to reuse mine and it looks and fits just like new.

Bodywork question
Yup. That car no longer exists. Bob bought it and has now broken it I believe. I think the shell had some rot on it in places. My shell however has zero. When I had the interior out last month, I poked a camera inside the inner arches and there isn't even a hint of anything there, again, with the bumper off, nothing what so ever. My front cross member, something that goes on even the cleanest of Z32s, is like new. Absolutely no corrosion on there at all. My car is no concourse winner, but I can confidently say that the shell has absolutely no rust on it at all. :)

Bodywork question
That's not actually my car! It just happens to be the same colour mine now is, but it is exactly the same under there as that is. The body guy that painted it couldn't believe the condition for a 1991 car.

JDM Chassis number query
It would have been a 95 model year though as series 3 was considered '94' irrespective of manufacture date. Late 98s were actually 99 models and this is when the boost gauge returned.

JDM Chassis number query
Between 95 and early 98, TT Z32s came without a boost gauge. What model year were you looking at? You can easily tell by engine bay photos whether it's TT or NA if you have them.

Bodywork question
I wouldn't go that far, it just has absolutely no rust on it at all.

Mine aren't, not even a hint of it!

Bodywork question
Easier to remove than refit. There are about 8 bolts securing the back to the main body. 2 either side on the inside of the wings and 1 either side accessable from the top of the wheel arch and 1 either side from the bottom of the wheel arch. The very bottom edge has plastic flanges secured with screw-rivets and then finally, you have a but of loom. Once remove, you can take out the number place illumination by way of 2 screw rivets and one metal screw and that pulls straight out. Another thing to bear in mind, before sliding the bumper off, you have a hinged number plate holder on Japanese models which is secured by 1 x 10mm bolt. Use a deep reach socket or one with an extension, unscrew and lift it upwards.
