  1. I'll come wearing a pair of stained y-fronts and nothing else. You'll know it's me, so just come over and say 'hi'! :)
  2. Direct him to this forum, I would LOVE to have an argument with this turd!
  3. If you can dodge the showers! Sunday however is looking warm and sunny!....ALL DAY! :D
  4. Well it's not my slice of pie! You could chop it up!
  5. You can buy a 1-piece.... http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=54&category_id=14&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7
  6. Mike doesn't stock them. They are indeed on a massive back order globally. I know CZP did have a batch in a few months ago but quickly sold out. I trust you've tried Z1, SpecialityZ and Courtesy Parts? I think you're just going to have to be patient. I'd put an order in with MJP, Mike will be able to keep you updated.
  7. What on dude? Have you got enough MOT left for Sunday!?
  8. Looking great! I really like your car! Soooooo glad I persuaded you to keep those beautiful split rims! See you on Sunday! :)
  9. Now that I didn't do, but again a thin blade should take a lot of it off. You can however get an eraser pad that you fit to a drill that burrs it off. I think soaking the bond in white spirit also helps to soften it. Another good reason to remove the glass is so that you don't have a paint line that can peal.
  10. Shouldn't do if they take their time and care. TBH, I didn't find it a problem removing them. My window guy was fappin' awesome. He's their longest serving guy there and is the one who gets sent out to all the restoration and classic car builds. He did my car before and made sure they sent him again.
  11. No, not a kitchen knife, you need something EXTREMELY sharp AND thin. Something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SELF-RETRACTING-UTILITY-KNIFE-CUTTER-SPRING-LOADED-SHARP-BLADE-HEAVY-DUTY-SAFETY-/171208029649?pt=UK_Baby_BabyFeedingUtensils_EH&hash=item27dccb35d1 Basically so that you can get a lot of the blade into the bond as it needs to reach quite deep. You WILL break blades, so make sure you have spares. I think I got through about 4 or 5.
  12. That is a fabulous colour! Looks like a good paint job too! Nice one, really looking forward to seeing it completed! You have a LOT to do this weekend!! ;) - - - Updated - - - ....make sure you get the painter to black the door pillar though!!!!!
  13. Like I said, the lower weather strip can be separated from the main seal on the rear quarters. On Z Centre, they supply the Karuma Z weather strips, which are reproductions as you can't buy that trim from Nissan and never have been able to. Strip out the rear quarter interior panel and cut through the lower and B pillar bond from inside using a thin, but long blade knife. Also fill a little squirter bottle with Fairy Liquid and water at quite a high concentrate and use that as you cut as a lubricant. On the curved area, you cut through from the top on the outside. It takes some time, but eventually you'll cut through all the bond and you'll be able to separate the unit from the body. Don't pull the glass too much, but you can pull it a little to get the knife in deeper as the corners of where it's bonded to the B pillar are quite thick with it. I bought a new lower boot seal for my car about 5 or 6 years ago and because I garage my car all the time, the seal is like new, so we were able to pull it off, take the rear screen out, push it back on to the screen before it was bonded back in. Still looks like new. :)
  14. Lower seal as there is a top weather strip too which is clipped to the top of the screen before fitting. That's the expensive part and I mean real expensive! It's a rubber/metal composite. Just a silly price, mind you, it's rare that it needs replacing really.
  15. Not as expensive as I'd thought. Need to go back through my invoices. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?126697-Rear-screen-seal&p=1251596&viewfull=1#post1251596 Sure, this was quoted in 09, but it wouldn't have gone up too much since. Maybe £10 more now? With VAT and price increase, probably about £80
  16. The parts are expensive, but TBH, the volumes are a lot lower than a mainstream vehicle, so you're automatically going to pay more. Sure, that's the right one. Little cheaper than what I got mine for. UK landed is about what I paid. I got mine from MJP I think. Euro prices are about 20-30% higher.
  17. About £95. Silly money. But I had to get one. The top trim is about £180 (I reused my old one). I've just replaced all my roof trim too and that came to over £200. But this is a sports car, not a Micra, so you gotta be prepared to pay top dollar for nonsense sometimes!
  18. There are variances within those 'series' and also some rare mongrel cars which seemed to have a mixture of specification. But rule of thumb, 'series' is a great way to understand the specifications and changes made to the Z32 throughout its life. What I find 'hog wash' is when people use spurious terms like 'stage' to describe their own perception of performance upgrades.
  19. Got any photos of the top of the rear screen all fitted up?
  20. How exactly is using 'series' to denote specification models deemed to be inaccurate or confusing? Its use is there to completely counteract it! Sounds like your friend has cranial rectal inversion. It's something so minor also.
  21. Series is fine with me. How else are you going to describe spec years? Model series sometimes straddle different years, so it's generally easier to say 'series' despite it not being an 'official' Nissan term. Quite how that would 'dumb' the enthusiast is quite beyond me, it should educate the enthusiast!?!?
  22. Absolutely! Don't tell them anything and just ask for a key to be cut.
  23. Damn! That is HUGE! How does it mate with the trim at the top!?
