  1. That's nearly 3x the price of a UK bumper. That's crazy. Thank you. Second question, do you know anything about the 2 parts listed on nissan4u? They're both based on European specification however I don't know whether they come with the holes pre drilled for the headlamp washers? Probably no way of knowing unless anyone actually has a photo of a new one.
  2. Those prices are ridiculous and they're all pre-painted. It doesn't list a bare bumper either. Thanks though, but sadly this doesn't help.
  3. The roof strip clips? Do you mean the little square ones that sit inside the rail that you'd screw into? They're not available new, they're part of the mouldings. The only two clips you can buy separately are the ones listed above and the L shaped ones that slide in on the lead edge of the windscreen.
  4. £1500 is a budget job. Decent is at least £3k upwards providing you strip the car. 'Decent' is also subjective as the body industry is about as about as unregulated as the illegal drug trade, it's hard to find what I'd consider a good quality outfit.
  5. Looking at buying a brand new original TT front bumper as I feel the fitment on mine could be a little better. UK source tells me at 6202240P90 is around £420, so not too bad considering in the US it's substantially more + shipping and tax. My question is this, 6202240P90 is the part number for UK/Euro cars. There is a superseded part number also which is 6202240P93. I assume a new UK bumper would come with pre-drilled holes for head light washers however is the superseded part number likely to be a stock non-prepared front bumper? Would anyone happen to know the part number for the stock TT JDM early style bumper?
  6. Heros don’t always wear capes, they wear ‘*****cks to Brexit’ t-shirts! Nice work Mike! :)
  7. Must be the sum total of about £4.99s worth of GDP there. I'm still hoping it may end up back in the polls and a higher proportion of the country will actually turn out to vote for what is the most important national decision in modern times, it's not like a general election where we can change our minds 3 years down the line if we don't like who's currently in number 10, once this is done, it's done. Current opinion polls (Ref:KPMG) suggest remaining in the EU would win by a significantly higher margin than the 3.8% (which under general election conditions is nowhere near a majority) in the 'non-binding' referendum. :)
  8. That looks like a decent car. Whilst it’s had a couple of MOT fails, there’s nothing untoward on the MoT history. Some hose and lines issues and that’s about as bad as it gets which is very good for a UK Z. Just a shame it’s an auto. New 98+ transmission and the rest of the conversion parts and that would be a great car. Takes away a bit of the provenance, but it will make it more desirable and more fun to own. I’d say it’s very well priced too.
  9. This is exactly why the perceived values on them are low as generally what comes onto the market is either in poor state, distastefully modified or not the right drivetrain for the market, or a miserable combination of the lot. The former 2 are slowly becoming less and less prevalent. Tastes have changed (thankfully) and the bodykitted horrors are drying up and a lot of the really dire condition ones have been scrapped. They reached the bottom of their depreciation curve around 5-6 years ago, I'd say most cars are now enthusiast owned. We're seeing a lot of people restore their Zs and investing a lot of money into them rather than become an ebay parts rattle can special that was a 'thing' a few years ago. You will not find one in the £20k bracket purely because immaculate ones don't come up for sale and the market hasn't reached that level yet however I don't think it will be too long although....the nice ones just don't come up as they're owned by enthusiasts who won't let them go. Buying a fresh import is your best bet. Prices are going up in Japan and late model ones are fetching anywhere up to £12-£15k before shipping. A 99-spec Version R Twin Turbo manual with low mileage will achieve those higher figures. I personally prefer earlier models as they have a better spec and I prefer the styling, but either way, clean ones can be sourced. Early models have appreciated a bit as they've reached the 25 year threshold for import into the US and demand has increased, so currently, best value is probably late series 2 and series 3.
  10. It’s not really an upgrade. You’re probably thinking of the R8 coil packs. Stock coil packs are very reliable and do the job perfectly.
  11. Potentially 'yes' weather and date dependant. Will take AndrewG if his car's not back together by then.
  12. How did you manage to scrap the car in under 2 hours on a Sunday evening? No need to delete the account, just don't log in anymore.
  13. I'm confused, why do you need a new fuel rail if the plastic part of the injector has broken?
  14. You want to be concerned how it's getting in rather than the drains. My guess would either be through the wiper seal or through the bottom edges of the glass itself. Sometimes the bonding fails and you get ingress that way.
  15. This can depend on the filter manufacturer.
  16. We used to have one up under 300zx.org.uk (a site/page owned by a former committee member AndyP), it was fairly comprehensive however it's offline at the moment and doesn't seem to be stored on any cache. A group of us could re-write, however it might take some time to get all the detail down. AndrewG/RichardSmith/Gio/Craig, do any of you guys still keep in contact with AndyP? If he still has this information, it might be worthwhile trying to migrate it over to the club pages.
  17. The big one looks like an oil filter seal. I can't recall ever seeing anything like that otherwise. The little raised bits would grip the pressing in the filter, if it had been fitted without oil being wiped on the seal, it could have stuck to the oil tree when then filter was removed and then fallen off.
  18. If you give Katherine a call on the number listed, she can transfer the booking over to our allocation.
  19. Guys I've just spoken to the hotel it's the last day to book up the hotel for our allocation and price. So far only 7 people on the rooming list including myself. I've also had the following added who booked via other means, Joel, Gary, Richard and Craig. 11 in total. So, if your name is down (for both days) and you're wanting to stay, go to the AGM and take part in the meal (to be booked/arranged), you'd better off calling the hotel ASAP and speaking with Katherine 01926310535 as rooms cannot be guaranteed thereafter. We have listed 14 who want to do both nights, please can you book up your rooms. :)
  20. It depends if they have to calculate shipping. CZP usually come back to you a day or two after as all their prices and shipping on their e-commerce site is based on domestic US carriage, I'd imagine SZ might do the same.
  21. The best place for a TurboNoz chip is landfill; get yourself a SpecialtyZ chip.
  22. I have a repurposed reverse light, but only for MOT. I have a small bit of harness in the boot that I swap and it utilises the standard fog light switch. I just put it back to twin reverse lights after MOT as I never ever use the fog light. But yes, a permanent repurpose isn't my thing either. Aux fog lights are about as hideous as things get too!
  23. Ah yes, you had a replacement bumper. I too prefer the UK spec holder and at times wish I'd changed my bumper or had the holes filled and bought a UK bracket and had it painted to match. I still toy with the idea of fitting a UK rear bumper. Not because I want my car to be a UK replica but sometimes, I actually prefer it.
  24. Nice thread! I'm up that way in a few weeks, I'll let you know what date and pop in on it. I think Joel has that day off too, the 14th, maybe we could all grab lunch at the pub nearby.
