  1. At 12 o'clock noon this Thursday there's going to be a two minute silence to remember the victims of the bombs which exploded last week, during rush hour last Thursday morning. Buses will stop, businesses will stop, everything still for two minutes. We are organising this on behalf of the Mayor's office. It's a gesture of compassion and sympathy and remembrance, but also maybe a gesture of defiance - and so there's a thought that wherever we are, we should go out on to the streets, and observe the silence there, in public. The whole of Britain, standing on our streets, which we will always own and defend, in silence. Please pass this on to everyone you know. http://www.londonprepared.gov.uk/
  2. Just see replica bumpers like that grafted onto Saxos and Novas though...lol Seems a decent price though.
  3. Depends on what finish you're going for I guess. If you're machining the lips (ie, diamond cut', the lacquer that's sprayed on top doesn't bond well to the metal at all. Hence flaking, chipping and corrosion. I have a set of wheels like that on my current motor and they do the same. Chromed lips are the way to do if going deep dish. Much harder surface.
  4. Nice thread to read as I'm buying my first Zed soon. Have Zedworld hunting for a doo-un for me. Mine will only be used at weekens purely because of the fact that I'll have a company car in a matter of months. Kay, that looks lovely. Hardly see any bayside blue Zeds...nice.
  5. Didn't know they had been taken over. They used to be very good.
  6. ...or is it even available anymore?
  7. Gutted. That means it'll cost around 500 quid or so. :(
  8. Best ones about....don't think they are too far from you are http://www.spitandpolish.co.uk/
  9. I'd say 600 was reasonable for a blow over, but I'd be taking off bumpers, seals and other bits of trim, just to make sure it's spot on. Full repray could cost stupid amounts. Depends on if you're wanting a colour change, resprayed engine bay, underside....this leads on to what you need to remove etc.
  10. Looks very nice. Lovely seats.
  11. Found a pic of tooley's car. That spoiler is much much bigger than the one I posted a photo of. Plus it has supports on it. Thanks for the links lymon. That is indeed the exact one I'm wanting more info on....so do Bomex make a replica version of this then?
  12. Thanks. Looks like it may be similar for me then I guess. But this 'Heratige' insurance sounds interesting....
  13. Can't seem to find anymore information on it, or photos.
  14. Wonder what I'll be paying then on an import.... 26, low risk area (heart of Somerset), full no claims (9 years), but have 6 points on my licence...which have not affected the premium on my current car. Any ideas? Should really have gotten a quote considering I'm currently looking for one. But have no idea on decent companies that will insure imports.
  15. Thanks guys. Didn't realise that you could still get those.
  16. ...I'm sure you know the ones I mean. Can you still buy them? They probably are not longer legal, I used to remember when the first grey imports used to appear up round Bristol, some 10 years ago, and most of them came with these plates. Never see them around anymore.
  17. Arrrrrrrrr roite...now I thought those were J-spec lights (excuse my ignorance). Please don't tell me that J-spec lights are similar to Lexarse stuff as I'll be most embarrased as I suggested those in another thread.
  18. Can someone post up some photos....not sure on the differences (being a 'Z' newbie and all that). Thanks.
  19. Not that keen on those I have to say. Sorry. Think that one of the nicest things about the Z is the rear lights. Can't beat a set of J-spec ones. Gorgeous!
  20. Actually, scrap that, did a search and see that they are held in quite high regard. Just spoken to Jeff there and he's on a hunt for a nice silver red or pearl white manual twin turbo. :)
  21. Thanks Tom, much apprecitated. Shall have a gander I think. Along the same lines, has anyone ever used 'zedworld'?
  22. Documentary..as in 'Super Size Me'? Yeah, got to the stage where, not only did the guy put on rather a large amount of weight, his wife told us that he'd lost his sex drive!! Most McDonalds servants are pretty mentally deficient in one way or another. Dunno who's worse really, the Chavs that frequent the car parks at night times in their 'modded' Fiestas and such like, or the people selling the burgers. Generally at my local, they seem relatively aware of their surroundings, although there is one lad who works at one of the drive through windows and just by speaking to him, you'd wonder how he even got a job there!
  23. Thanks for the links there. Seem to have a great selection of Z's there. Might see what he can do about getting an SWB version...doubt I'd have enough money for one though. Some lovely examples on there though.
