  1. Hmmmm interesting. Wouldn't mind trying it with an anthracite paint...always things to try, gotta get the bloody thing first. Quite handy with a spray can. Reconditioned a set of wheels recently, and they have come out like new. Supprised myself.
  2. That's come out well. What's the grey on them before then? Is it an anthracite type paint or just bare plastic?
  3. Pete, that looks stunning!! Hope you keep it as it is, because it looks nice. :) Right click save as....have a nice little folder of z's I'm building up. :)
  4. LOL! Same here, that's all I look out for, not poxy Vauxhalls...although my daily driver is a dull as hell Cavalier....gotta keep that Zed nice you see. :)
  5. Cracking reply!! :) :duffer: Rover Turbos munch head gaskets for a past time...
  6. You don't want to know....my current car...which I've just sold..... 1 x white Astra Cabrio...which I converted to 2.5 V6 Yes I know, you lot may laugh, but I'm getting a 'Zed' now, we all have to start somewhere, it's well overdue for replacement. Had it since I was 21, then got made redundant from a job I was in a few years later. It's been a good fun car never the less.
  7. ...deffo just want a low milage import. Engine wise, I want it as standard as I can possibly get it.
  8. Thanks Pete, much appreciated. Greg, yeah, gotta find a current Z owner to have a look with me. Although Jeff knows his stuff. Very confident in dealing with him.
  9. Thanks guys. Yeah Pete, your red zed looks perfect. Just the kind of look I'm after really. Dribbled at it last week when I saw it. Would like some more photos of it if you have any.
  10. Nice news there Greg.... saw it the other day too...looking mighty fine. Ok, next story of praise.. :) I see Jeff is looking at the thread. :)
  11. Well, I know the threads pop up as a result of things going wrong, let's face it, no one's going to start loads of threads saying how reliable and problem free their TT is. I'm hunting for one at the moment. Infact Jeff and Zedworld is on the case for me. He seems to have a good reputation on here, so quite confident he'll be able to get me a good one. Now, just getting cold feet looking at the money that people are spending on their cars. I cannot afford to have a car that is going to sap as much money as people are spending on repairs. I know this is a huge consideration that I've got to take. These cars are pricey to fix and one has to know this before purchasing a Zed. But by and large, are they reliable? I am not one to modify really. Although my current car is modified, it's the only car I've ever modified. Engine wise, it'll be almost standard. Just a nice set of dished split rim alloys and some upgraded suspension componentry....something like this beauty...
  12. Front bumper's the worst bit on it. Looks like something that's been ordered from the back of Max Power.
  13. Any ideas on torque/BHP figures?
  14. Sangyong...now owned by Daewoo...aka Chevrolet.
  15. Anyone know what the most power 300TT is? Having a 'discussion' on another forum about Supras and Skylines and would like to add my input. Ta
  16. Back end looks well done. Exhausts look out of proportion. Front is nasty. Overall, I don't like it.
  17. The amount of Staffys that I've seen driving sprinter vans is on the increase...
  18. Think one should start a 'what do you lot look like' type thread. :)
  19. LOL, Greg didn't look like a Chav when I spotted him driving through the contraflow on the M5 last weekend....
  20. LOL! Don't worry, I do fully intend to subscribe once I have a Zed on the driveway....knowing my luck, it'll fall through. So once zedworld have found me a good-un, I'll be here. :)
  21. That's good. As I want rid of the speed restrictor. Not sure how that's done, but I'm sure there's a how2 on here somewhere. Thanks.
  22. Just wondering if there are any differences due to the speed limitations on Jap spec cars. I know the import Scoobies have different ratios. Does this apply with the fairlady? Ta
  23. That's pretty good value, I've seen those kits go for 3 times that amount.
  24. Just come back inside. Bit wierd in Glastonbury, everyone was still pacing the streets, few had come outside. But all the 'Badgerline' buses were still hurtling around. Stood outside Woolworths as they were doing the two minute silence. Like you, there was some numpty in is 106 racing down the high street with his baked bean can roaring away.
