  1. What hot hatch can do 0 - 60 in 5.5 seconds??? :wack:
  2. What pug 1.6 was it? 205 GTi? 106 GTi? Or was it a poverty spec 405?
  3. Only race I've had in my zed was on test drive with Richard Smith. Followed a GTO onto the M4.....some nice blue smoke coming out of the back, drew the engine up to boost and depressed the loud pedal.....shot past him and his nice trail of blue smoke. Had to slow down a bit on the motorway to wait for him to fly past.....still pumping out the blue stuff....hehe
  4. I had to double take then....lol You've changed your name. Can't make this weekend. 'Should' be around the following weekend though if the date changes.
  5. 125bhp in a Z31? Yeah, I bet it rips up the tarmac.... That must have been the shagged NA one firing on 5 cylinders you replaced the diesel engine with then I guess.
  6. I meant it pointless in the way that it actually degrades performance...ie lighting performance. They obscure about 1/3 of the headlight. :)
  7. Jesus H Christ!

Try these guys.... http://www.amplified-performance.com they export all over the world. They are basically agents, just check the prices though as none include transportation costs or anything
  9. She doesn't use the forum does she?
  10. No offence to NA drivers, but it was probably because it was NA. Shame really as they are more reliable. People tend to look for Twin Turbo manuals as a first choice.
  11. Interesting, although I thought all models came with ABS. Was this just the introduction of a new/improved system?
  12. Best way to see if a turbo is shagged (irrelevant of boost leaks) is to run the car to warm, take out for a quick run about. Spool up the turbos quite a bit, then pull up, get out of the car (with engine running of course) and see if any blue smoke starts coming out of the back end. You may have to wait a few seconds. Good turbos will be smoke free.
  13. I could never even dream of doing that to my baby. ....everyone moans about the tyre consumption as it is...lol Looks fun though.
  14. Sure it will, to the breakers yard....that's twisted to hell at the front!
  15. Buy from Jeff TT at Zedworld, they fit them up there, so he'll be able to tell you.
  16. CD, can you tell me more about the 'verson R'. Is this the yellow with with the X-spoke wheels I keep seeing flying around? This?
  17. Hahaha lol Yeah, quality was ok on mine....compared to other Citroens such as the AX and BX. I had electrical problems with mine. The connectors on those kept breaking down. So resulted in missfires appearing every other month. The central locking packed up, the brake lights packed up and also the reverse lights failed to work. Other than that, it was quite good really.
  18. Thanks. It is indeed metallic. It's pearl white. Only available on imports. Yeah, 99 is the end year of production afaik (my zed knowledge is almost non-existant, so I expect to be corrected here), they were only out in the UK for a matter of a few years I think and only available in solid colours. Pretty sure there's a forum member with a P reg one on here. 5k you'll find a very nice one. I was looking a spending more (budget being 5K) on a tidy one than buying a cheap car that I wasn't too sure on. I am quite scared of the car really and will probably not want to use it!! LOL, Once I get used to it and find out if it does having any problems, then I'm sure I'll be a little more confident with it.
  19. I just payed 4,900 for this import from a dealer. Has done 50,000 miles, is in fantastic condition and is almost standard. Comes with 3 months warranty. The car looks like it's been very well looked after, not a puff of smoke from it and a silky smooth engine, 2 club members I took along could find almost no fault with it other than the general servicing that needed to be carried out on it.

Oh yeah, course there is. I drive through Westernzoyland twice a week!! LOL
  21. Sure was....well, at least on par with it. I had a Citroen ZX 2.0 16v many moons ago, decent car actually, but the horn was just terrible.
  22. Buy a well looked after standard version and the chances of it going wrong will be a lot less. I have yet to find out how mine will be. Shitting my pants actually as I wont have the cash to fix it if it goes badly wrong.

That would just add insult to injury. ;)

Vile, but check out the state of the vehicle that's had half a boat grafted onto it. That's one nasty Zed, the interior is minging, look at that steering wheel, looks like it has leprosy. Least a nice one wasn't butchered.
