  1. Exactly the same as me. Learnt the hard way about 5 years ago when I lost control on a bend. Didn't injure or involve anyone, but damaged the car quite badly. So only accelerate and have a bit of a play in the dry and on long straight roads. http://www.wreckedexotics.com has both normal and exotica in various states of distruction.
  2. I have to tell my friend that, he's young and has a 280bhp Calibra turbo. Seems ok with it, quite mature and understands respect for the vehicle. I've drummed it into his head enough times now. Has a short temper, but he's not done anything silly in it yet though.
  3. How old is your mate???? Speak to IndianZX...he's 19 supposedly and racing Dagenham dustbings round Heathrow in his. ;)
  4. You've given me an idea there...I'm bored out of my tree at the moment. Only have another 2 weeks at this job before I start my new one. Motivation to do anything other than eat chocolate, drink tea and surf the net is totally lacking...........
  5. Cool!! Ace photos there Dave, love that side on shot especially. Any photos of your Missus' G-string? BTW, as discussed, you can get Track Insurance as part of the package with Heritage.

I'd say go for the 18th, decent enough space of time between this weekend's meet...also, you can make that one. Any venue ideas or have you still got that to look into? Si
  7. On my zed, the rear spoiler is been removed and fascia panel/high level brake light has been fitted. Now the strip of bulbs running along the brake light, these are just 6 or so side light bulbs aren't they? Anyone removed them all and replaced them all with high power LEDs? What spec ones did you fit? Ta
  8. Yeah, thanks for recomending Heritage Gaz!! I've just got insurance for the Zed @ £560 fully comp. Suits me down to the ground. :)
  9. There's only 1 I know near me and that's Legrath's who's 12 miles away!
  10. Electric blue....with a silver flip. :)
  11. Can you remove the waterpump without taking the cam belt off??
  12. Great car for a 20 year old! I had to make do with an Astra SRi at your age. Was ok back then though.
  13. BTW....this is a plan of the mods I am aiming for...minor stuff....Mickey has grafted on a rear spoiler, J-spec lights, clear indicators and light window tints. Like this...still not made my mind up about the spoiler though.
  14. Unfortunately not Richard.....the cheque for the convertible I've just sold hasn't cleared yet. So it's going to have to be Friday which I'm rather peeved about. Smithy no longer does them. DTA does them now. £20 I think. Si :)
  15. I'm amazed you get insurance on it TBH...good one ya for getting a late UK spec on though. :)
  16. Just been having a root around in the old guy's LP collection and came across this....want to know how much it's worth. It's the original Sgt Peppa album by The Beatles. It's in almost perfect condition and complete with original cutout card that almost doesn't exist anymore. So a very rare original LP. Been told it's worth quite a bit. So anyone any ideas? Ta
  17. Bring the blonde to the SW and Wales meet...I ORDER YOU TO!! ;)
  18. Wouldn't be those if it only does it at around 2,000rpm, but goes away the fast you went. The faster you went, the worse it would get, so 2000rpm in 1st and 2000rpm would be significantly different.
  19. Yeah, money doesn't count....it's taste....or lack of that is the issue here. So if you have little money, it's better not to do anything to your car rather than cover it in graphics, neons, crappy exhausts and suck like.
  20. Yeah, that's what you pay your £15 for!! For them just to send the cheque 1st class...value for money surely! I guess the rest of the money covers any losses incured due to them not being able to invest that money for the week they have it.
  21. I think he's just returning your compliment mate....after you thought everyone else has their heads up their arses....;)
  22. Gutted.....was hoping to meet chunk as well. :(
  23. Maybe they were sales engineers and were paid to say that. ;)
