  1. Possibly, but 'fixed' compared to a time, say, 10 -15 years ago.
  2. This is EXACTLY the conversation I had with my father on the phone just now actually! We both wondered whether Scotland will have their own referendum for devolution in order to try to be accepted back into the EU. I also fear for the borders, especially NI. NI will now border an EU state, many people from NI work in the republic and vice versa. Sinn Féin have talked about having NI as an annex which could spark unrest and see a return to the time when certain extremist groups created tension, this is something that's only just been fixed.
  3. A sad day for the UK. The value of the pound has already plummeted. 'Leave' campaigners suggest this is a 'temporary blip', but how on earth do they know? Sure, markets will take time to re-align, but this gamble....is just that.
  4. No, I'm agreeing with it and highlighting the fact that most of the information being churned up and dished out is not from leading economists, it's from bullish politicians and crass tabloid newspapers - on BOTH sides.
  5. ...and there lies the problem. My beef with the referendum is that vast swathes of the population are taking their information from the wrong sources, not from economists. Whilst I voted 'remain' (and proudly so), both campaigns are FULL of scaremongering rhetoric, BOTH of them. I work in international and European business and have taken my information from credible economist sources (and have based my choice on that) and have ignored (totally) both campaigns as they’re both bunkum and filled with nonsense. The awful tabloid press we have in this country don’t really help matters either and sensationalise anything that makes a story whether that be in the interests of the population or not. I purposefully steer clear of it all, not least because I can’t stand tabloid media. In its most basic format, the better our economy does, ie, the better our businesses do, and the more foreign investment we see, the more money these businesses create. When business makes good profits, government will expect more taxation revenue entering into their coffers. With more money, the government can spend money on public services such as the NHS and education. The membership costs we pay allow our business to access the free market, this means they don’t have to pay duties when they trade. This enables them to trade more which also means they will make more profit. Remember, higher profits mean more taxes to the government which will in turn be put back into public services, this includes the NHS. It is shown, by the vast majority of economists that we get more money this way, so we get out of Europe more than we put in. It’s a membership fee, but the benefits we get are worth so much more than the fee. This is basic economics. To put a vote out ‘could’ (which is high-risk) put Britain on the brink of recession and devalue the pound – whilst this in itself could be considered ‘scaremongering’, it is a very real ‘threat’ that can’t just be ignored and forgotten. This could mean less jobs, less immigrant workers (who pay into our tax system) in our hospitals which means longer waiting times which will have a knock-on effect with the cost of living etc. This is just one thing, but with a bit of research, you’d see how much stronger Britain has become since the G20. I personally am not willing to take the 'gamble' and leave - the bankers did that and look what happened. I think the referendum is a wonderful opportunity for people to have their say and I respect either persons choice and so should everyone else, it’s just a shame that BOTH the campaign trails have given more BS rhetoric and in turn have confused and angered the electorate in the process – it’s almost a shame that politicians and the media have gotten involved and had overbearing bias on or one or the other, but I guess, how else would you conduct a referendum – more clear and concise data would be a good start giving the electorate the right information for them to be able to make up their own mind in a more qualified way. Ignore Cameron and ignore Boris…..and The Sun and all the claptrap being spouted by both sides of the camp.
  6. The difference is that France's roads have a fraction of the traffic that UK roads have, most of their 'Autoroute' are dual carriageways and to be honest, most people know which lane to get in here on a dual carriageway. I will agree with you though, French driving standards are better than those of the UK.
  7. That engine is a stormer! I've experienced it!
  8. M25 lane discipline is absolutely tragic. The worst section for this is between the M40 and M1 interchanges. That stretch which actually has a stretch with the stealth cameras on is the worst on the M25 for lane discipline and the worst I've ever experienced, parts of it are 5 lanes. Give people more lanes and they have less of an idea where they should be and there starts the congestion!
  9. Why don't you just do a simple screen-grab and upload it to photobucket. No one should EVER have go on that 300zx UK Nismo facebook page, it's truly appalling! lol
  10. There are a number of different types of cameras on the M25, you have the stealth cameras and also the gantry cameras, ALL being digital. The overhead gantry cameras only work when the sign is there to advise you of the current speed limit, all other times, they're switched off. They are not set to 85mph or whatever. The other cameras are the stealth cameras that you occasionally see bolted to the side of some gantries along some stretches, they're quite easy to spot to be honest. There is certainly not a 'zero tolerance' 70 limit on these. As to them being set to 85 and over, this is also unlikely to be the case. There is no substantiating evidence anywhere and as per 'guidelines', would expect them to be set to 79 (10% +2mph). The argument about the amount of paperwork is outweighed by the revenue generated by the fine - everything is automated now anyway, so actual work involving processing this is completely minimal. Long gone are the analogue systems which the first speed cameras and systems employed. As an example, TFL will trace owners of their cars into Europe if they've forgotten to pay the measly £2.50 or whatever it is to cross the Dartford Crossing, sending out speeding fines automatically is a no brainer.
  11. Would also have been nicer if the petition starter had actually used the correct acronym too. :)
  12. It will NEVER happen. 'Many other countries'? LOL Less than 20 states in the US are front number-plate-free, so not even a full country. I am unaware of any other countries where you don't require a front number place. Whilst I think cars look better without a front number plate, this is a silly petition that will get absolutely nowhere, there is no gain or incentive for that law to be changed when a high number of NR systems are set up to read front plates. The cost to change fixed systems or re-write documentation for law and user applications will make this 100% prohibitive. How would a police car equipped with an ANPR system then be able to read a plate on a car coming towards it? It wouldn't.
  13. There is a 'wanted' section for this sort of thing....
  14. Too far gone. Paint correction merely takes out minor defects within the clear coat. Once the clear coat has gone, there's nothing to correct.
  15. I did yeah - I guess they probably don't have a dedicated Z32 club in Portugal?
  16. Not for me, sorry. Those rear arches are awful, as are the wings, the front bumper doesn't work with the rest of the car, the rear lights are horrible cheapo ebay ones, the bonnet looks like something from Lt. Worf's head. The wheels look nice from head-on, but not from a 3/4 view, the centres bulge out - odd look. You knew I wouldn't like it didn't you.....go on, admit! I bet you were chuckling to yourself when you were uploading those photos, thinking 'funky's gonna love this'! :) I like the body colour and the glass colour! :) :pint:
  17. Same deal, sits there and hangs.
  18. Maybe it's my craptop, but the page won't load Jeff.
  19. I know Chris Karl pretty well, he's a reliable source for sure. I'll be seeing him in October again.
  20. No, certainly isn't it. Looks like a Range Rover Evoque interior to me.
  21. What a miserable looking example, regardless of aspiration designation.
  22. ....and why didn't you swing by then!?!?!!??!!?! lol :)
