What did you do to your zed today?
I give the car a good covering of snow foam and let it sit for 20 mins. The foam doesn't break down quick like cheap stuff so what on the floor makes it look like I've used loads when I haven't. Takes me about an hour to wash from start to finish but that includes soak time for wheel treatment and snow foam. And I'm not the quickest around the car coz of bad knees

Washed Zeb ready for Trentham. Just need to put a couple of coats of wax on now if the weather holds I've been trying out Autobrite Directs line of products and have to say they are pretty good so far. Used their Snow foam , wheel cleaner, leather cleaner and a Hell Shine Sythe sheepskin wash pad that's awesome to use. Round 2 is using Hell shine restore polish than a Cherry Glaze top wax.

Good car wax
I've been trying a couple of new products with pretty impressive results. I have used Autobrite's Cherry glaze and also Hell Shine stage 2 polish and Hell shine Abyss carnuba wax. All of them do a great job and very easy to put on and polish off. I'm also impressed by Autobrite's snow foam and Purple Rain iron deposit decontaminator for the wheels. They do a degreaser called Jaffa clean which is pretty useful in the door jambs and under the bonnet too.

Another Timing Belt Question
They should be OK but spin the pulleys and listen to the bearings, should be smooth and quiet. The adjustable tensioner should be OK but again check it adjusts OK and isn't seized. If in doubt replace the lot I know they aren't cheap but cheaper than a destroyed engine.

Tuning.....
I have the JWT chip in mine, they are as stated a genic mapped chip and tend to overfuel. if you book a mapping session with Noel he will map it on the dyno to get the best from it and the mods you have installed. 360 to 380BHP and 14PSI boost is all good and with the EBC you can dial it down a bit too, well that was my plan too but its stayed on full boost constantly.

Looking good Joel but you forgot to transfer that other bit of trim from your old boot lid. The bit that sits on the lower lip of the boot lid between it and the top of the N'S light cluster. Have to say I'm still chukling from when you and your dad set off with it strapped to the top of the warrior roof rails. Looked like some Mad Max creation.- Zebedee, another finishing touch

Well a conversation with Slick Pete at a recent track event put me in contact with a very helpful chap from Nissan. The reason was unrelated to what im about to say but during our email conversation I thought I would ask if he could help me find a vary rare thing indeed. The "Thing" is the original dealer sales brochure for the 99 spec version R. I have a copy of an early 90's brochure and they are a very nice addition to the collection however given how few of these Version R cars exist I thought finding that elusive brochure would be an impossible task. So I was very surprised when this gent replied and said they have a cupboard with old sales stuff in it and after looking he had found "ONE" original Jap sales brochure with the version R in it and he would post it to me with Nissans compliments. So imagine how blown away I was when it arrived in the post and on reading said brochure I found it covered all the special edition models for that period Version R, Versions S, std NA and Std TT and a couple of pages showing the optional extras you could order. Its not got many pages and its only an A4 document but its got some very nice photo's in it and I will treasure it. So top marks to Nissan for making my day and a big thanks to Pete for putting me in contact.- 26th TRENTHAM CLASSIC CAR & TRANSPORT SHOW SUNDAY 21ST JUNE 2015 - "FATHER'S DAY"
Be good to catch up not seen you since Tatton Park- What is it???
Aaaaggghhh MY EYES MY EYES- Some troughts after my attempts to be come a Z trader
My advice would be get them to a few shows and let people actually see the cars. There was a grey TT rocked up at the Trentham Gardens show on a stand with a £4k sticker price which was strong at the time. Within an hour of the show starting it had a sold sign on it. On another note I recon the purple one you have coming priced between £4-5K will sell without too much trouble. Its a tough market to judge the "asking" prices are going up weather the "sold" price is close to that remains to be seen. On the positive side i'm being asked by more and more people about the car but as Pete said its a slow poke at the moment. I hope the market picks up for you and believe me if I had the cash floating about I would not hesitate to take that black NA off you its superb.........and id convert it to TT. - Zebedee, another finishing touch
