HELP GUYS! Possibly going from 200SX S14a to 300ZX!
Later models lost the Variable Valve timing so were unofficially slower (due to jap emissions laws, doubt you'd notice much compared to an old one mind). Ps - If you do consider an older ( 93 ) one and are looking to get rid of a 200 let me know because I am looking to swap the Zed for either something that will tow or a drifty car.

Front mount turbo kits!!!!!
Interesting stuff there, I wonder what sort of results they have been getting. First time I've seen a V-mount on anything other than an Rx7 (sure they use them else where but I lead a sheltered life :) ). Much better than having a huge FMI blocking cool air to the engine rad (esp when it could just as well be on the sides).

different food
My dads side of the family are from Glasgow and they have some odd habits. I'm sure my Grandad was putting salt on his oats?? The only reason everyone up north doesn't die of heart attacks is because its so fecking cold all the time they shiver off all the fat they eat!

Urgent! Advice needed!
Thanks for that smithy. The rain on the M25 has calmed down a bit and she's got to her first customer ok now. Hopefully she'll be able to make it to her other customers ok, and get back later. Its typical, she's only using the Zed because I was stupid enough to fill her diesel up with petrol :wack:(still trying to sort it as well :xxx: ) I've not had any issues with this Zed and then the heater matrix packs up the other day, and the windscreen wipers go today. Can't win with cars at the moment!

Can't find anything in the workshop manual ffs. She needs to get going again as she's working 50miles away. Bloody rain.

Urgent! Advice needed!
Hi, The missus is on the M25 in the Zed and the windscreen wipers have packed in! Typical that its raining buckets. She says they made a clunk sound and then something snapped and they stopped working. The motors are still going (clunk, clunk!) but the wipers are not working. She's trying to find a safer place to stop before looking at them because visibility is very bad. Does anyone have any suggestions ? it would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Spent the day Zed loving!
My heater matrix went yesterday so I had to do the by-pass until I get a new one. I knew it would be a bit of a bugger getting down the back of the engine so thought I might as well do some other bits while I was at it. I bought some fuel hose and replaced all the fuel hoses on the top of the engine and did the filter as well. Some of the old hoses were pretty shot, even though they looked fine before removing them. I swear the car is faster and more responsive now? what a great little job. I'd recommend anyone does it, only an hour or two. I don't really do any of my own work on the cars anymore as I don't get the time and like to have it done professionally but must admit it was nice to give her a bit of loving myself!

Last bid to find Craig Stratton
I don't think anyone here will be giving out someones personal details to a random person on the net. Post a message in the commitee / members area asking them to pass the message onto Craig. I'm sure if he wants to speak with you he will.

auto-manual converts, are you happy?
I'd never even consider going to an auto again. It makes sense if all you use the car is for going to work in traffic, but for any kind of performance or fun driving the manual gearbox is obligatory :)

Idiots!!
On a slight tangent, I used to swim in Plymouth Sound. I went for a swim one day whilst people were protesting about the nuclear subs. They had a big sign on a building out on Drakes Island. I swam out to the island, about 3/4 mile I guess, to say hello. It was a lovely evening and I rocked up at the island and a few of them met me and invited me into where they were camped out. They offered me a cuppa and had a chat. We didn't talk about where I'd come from (swam from the Royal Marine camp) but not many people swim a couple of miles in the sea on an evening so they probably suspected. They were a mixture of all sorts in there, from single mums to career protestors, old and young, but all very friendly.

Idiots!!
Don't take me the wrong way for being an ex Marine Mark, I have had the same conversation with my missus many times. She took part in the anti-Iraq marches in london before the war out there. Half a million people or something like that took part in the protest and hardly an inch of coverage in the papers, its not hard to figure out what is going on there. My position is one of complete agreement with the right to protest; its a democracy and thats part of the deal; however I also think that in the case of peace protesters (shouldn't it be war-protesters?!) the people who are passionate about these things are in the majority of cases very blind or ignorant to the reality of the situations they protest about, and the people who are involved in it. Most have no idea about the cultures and attitudes of people and government in these countries and have even less of a clue about the security and political situations that have resulted in the wars. I havn't seen the documentary about the protesters (we don't have a TV) so no I don't know the background or the stated intentions. I've not got much time either for the socialist life that they (seemingly unknowingly?) advocate. I completely agree that we need to change the way we live however. The Co2 thing seems to be a red herring, but at least it raises awarness about other real enviromental concerns such as pollution, species diversity, extinction, and climate change (in whatever form/cause) ,etc. Also stating the fact that the Co2 thing appears to be propaganda is not a viable excuse for being blind to everything else that is happening on the planet. Excuse me if I'm going on....:)

Idiots!!
I completely agree that its their right to protest, etc and so they should. On the other hand 'mass direct action' is more than a good reason to mobilise that many police officers. The place is one of the number one spots in the whole world for the next terrorist attack, which is still considered imminent. What happens if all these people over run police and make a 'peaceful protest' by entering the airport grounds. All it takes is a few of the wrong people to join in with all the peaceful protestors and use it as cover to enter the airport and set off bombs, etc. It may seem like over reaction to what the protesters have in mind but the threat of what could happen is hideous.

350Z Brakes
 They look great. Wish I had a bit more spare money to throw around!

350Z Brakes
May be worth doing a re-seal kit on them to get them up to scratch. IMO those K-sport ones look well worth a look. They are very cheap for a full upgrade. The skyline brakes are an excellent upgrade compared to the Zed brakes but remember the sky-bus boys still upgrade those to bigger ones if they are doing track time and the Zed must be the same weight as the GTR?
