  1. Drifting unintentionally round roundabouts is always fun!
  2. All those hoses are b***ards. I had my coolant hose from the passanger turbo go. Had to get my inspector gadget arms on to reach it. ps also managed to undo most of the auto gearbox bolts from the top behind the engine. How's that for nails?! (stupid?).
  3. Get a small child to squeeze under the sill and have an oil bath :nana2: sorry
  4. The pcv valves arn't too hard to check. The springs go or they get blocked up with gunk. Pull the tube off when the engine is idling and you will hear a hissing as air is pulled through it, also stick your finger over it and it will suck on your finger (vacuum). They are a common thing to go.
  5.        I'm glad that was the reason! Was still feeling a little paranoid. The car is almost too perfect!! Got a couple hour drive later as well. Thanks for thinking about, looks like the car beat you to it though!!
  6. Interested but not sure if I can get there as I'm on a course either side of that weekend. Good day out though I reckon. I've not seen the museum yet and I lived and worked in Poole for three years. Dave
  7. Wow, He's so handsome.... :hurl: :nana2:
  8. Sounds like fun, havn't met everyone yet anyway :nana2: :nana2: ps I like bananas
  9. I do about the same, sometimes have the rear a little harder.
  10. Just had a slight stroke! Went out for a slow cruise to the post office to pay money to the DVLA, when I got back and was parking the car it spewed coolant out (cue:- ). Couldn't see any reason myself, car doesn't run even remotely hot , no dodgey pipes, completely bamboozeled (websters dictionary word). Phone Andy at AP motors and begged him to have a quick look. Half way there although it was running fine I thought I'd better check I wasn't losing coolant again. Turned out the top of the radiator where the (Greddy not oem ) cap goes was worn and the cap wasn't always catching (cue:- :slap: and feel silly  ). Anyway managed to do very little work again this morning as a result, but feeling better again. :nana2: :nana2: :nana2:
  11. Will phone you tommorrow mate. Hope it's not bad, you're giving me the worries!!
  12. Not sure if this has been on here (tried a search), but here's a shortcut to the petition to save Castle Combe race track. Everyone should sign it if they havn't already http://www.petitiononline.com/306007/ Dave.
  13. Think I saw this car advertised on ebay last year, think it's the same one?) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18238&item=4558392588&rd=1 7th july 04, seller was modejapan. I saved the photos cause I thought it looked shiny.
  14. i did some, now i'm back on putting my old zed onto ebay! oh well needs to be done. excuses, excuses, emotional too ,put a lot of hours into her ( and learn't how to make and brake engines!)
  15. Hell, I'm trying to get a course cracked at the moment, need to read some massive books. But since I got the new Zed I can't work for more than five minutes without going for a quick (well very quick actually) spin round the by-pass or getting on to the forum and reading about count down(?!!!). Some one please give me some discipline!!!!!
  16. I'd be well pleased if I'd built them myself, but can't help thinking they look a bit silly! Saw a ferrari one yesterday and the rear wheels were about half a foot inside the rear arches (oh and it had a fake NOS bottle inside the rear window, so maybe the owner just has a sense of humour, i hope).
  17. roger that, I'll help.
  18. I'm interested in this, got stuff on for the first two weeks of july but might still be ok for those weekends. Dave
  19. I was strangely un-moved...sorry. Carol was looking very sad though, needed a hug......... Oh dear I've just read the BBC web site. Feel quite emotional now. Seemed like a good bloke. I don't have a TV so please excuse me. Waste too much time!
  20. Just to let you know, I build/run networks day to day (not websites). So if anyone ever needs any help/advice let me know. Dave
  21. ps ha ha lol just got the joke. God I'm quick!!
  22. Shouldn't be too hard to do the belt mate. Don't know these cars but usually its the easiest to get to (ie don't have to remove any other belts). Just work out how to loosen the tension to remove the old one. Then do the opposite to fit the new one, if it makes a noise it's probably still too loose. Dave
  23. I wonder if he talks as he writes/spells.
