Which mags had drifting Zeds in? I've always wondered why there wasn't more of them drifting. Dave

young drivers and powerful cars?
Tell him to take it to a track day and really drive it, that'll make him realise he's not as good a driver as he thought. Especially after coming off and coming a little too close to the barrier for comfort, Like me!

Castle Combe trackday - awesome highlight of my year!!
Thanks guys it was great. Gonna check that heritage cover. Yep the tyres were covered in beads, front but especially the rear. They were a new set of bridgestones as I said from my old stocks I got just before buying better alloys. Probably a months worth of wear in one day! might check in a bit to see. Gonna try demon tweaks next time I need some. How much did they charge for ones to go on stock wheels?

Integra DC5 - what do you think?
I'm a fan of Honda engines. Very refined and reliable. Gonna have to get myself an NSX then I guess! Dave

Castle Combe trackday - awesome highlight of my year!!
Did the Castle Combe trackday yesterday. Bloody brilliant!. It was my first time on track so a real eye opener. The car went great, the engine didn't even seem that hot and I was ragging the hell out of it. The stock breaks on the other hand were a pile of sh*t!! I've got my new brembos but didn't have time to fit them. I didnt want to encounter problems and not have the car ready for the trackday (one way op as I've got to drill the mounting holes out). They were fine for the first round of laps (10-15 mins). I had a good spin out coming out of quarry corner (very tricky corner, saw a picture of a porshe from last month literally 10ft in the air and spinning!! driver walked away with a black eye and no car!!). I browned my missus's g-string as I went whizzing backwards towards the barrier with no insurance and finally stopped literally 1/2 a meter from it. I think the combination of this and the hard driving/breaking boiled the fluid as after that I could only do 10mins before my breaks would fade to nothing. A new experience for me, foot right to the floor and no brakes! had to pump it a bit to make them work and use the handbrake as I was returning to the pit. Definately recommend good new brakes for anyone going on a trackday, I'm sure its old news to all you old sweat track vets out there. I put my stock wheels on the back which had new bridgestones. I never had the fronts up with me so had to keep my antera's on. This worked fine. I was worried about the size difference but it's not that bad as the profile of the stocks is a lot bigger so the actual difference is not that noticable. The tyres would feel like sponges after 5 laps, the backs were up at 39psi as well, could have done with making the fronts harder but didn't get a chance. There was a photographer there and I've bought a great A3 print, he forgot to give me the digital version though. These are also taken by him. Check out my yellow g-force indicator. It's the pre-curser of the r34 ones! All in all the best day of my year. Dave

NZR - computer advice please
Networking cable is a faster transfer. It needs to be a crossover cable. - Go to network connections and right click your local area connection. Click on tcp/ip and click properties, then click the 'obtain ip address automatically' radio button. - Also on the desktop, right click my computer and go to the computer name tab. Check the workgroup name is the same on both computers (it probably will be if you've never touched it). Restart your computers. - They should appear then if you go to network places and click on the local network icon/workgroup/microsoft network or whatever. - You then need to enable sharing on each computer so you can see the files from the other computer. You can share whatever folders you want, but the easiest thing for you will be to just share the c drive. Right click on it and click sharing... Tick the boxes to enable sharing and allow other users on the network to alter files. - You might need to restart again to give it a kick up the arse. - You can then see the other computer from each one and can transfer files by copying and pasting. - This is a little inexact as its from memory but if theres you have any probs give me a call, pm'd you my number. Might be time to throw in the towel.
EEk sounds emotional. My stepmum is in a similar state, has an obscure disease. Keeps having strokes and is on chemo (sp?), the bucket of pills she takes are doing as much damage as anything else. Still keeping her head high though, you wouldn't know she was ill to talk to her, great woman. Keep your head high and stay determined. You can do it. Dave

It is now OFFICIAL!

Party at mine Sat 20th August
Cheaper to go to Thailand. You can buy one there that will marry you and come back to the Uk, for the same price as a BJ from a Brit one. Ha, apparently. Dave

fao black magic
Mine has started looking over my shoulder too. Only cause she's getting p**sed that I waste so much time on the computer mind. Maybe I can get her to join for when I go back to work in Plymouth. We can send sweet nothings to each other on the board. Lol. Bet everyone will love that. Hopefully then she will buy a Zed too. Dave

Party at mine Sat 20th August
Lol, me and the missus should be up for a bit of that. Never miss a BBQ! You'll have to stop Si from filling the BBQ up with beans though Marcus, he really does love them that much! And if you don't feed him enough of them he'll come back and cause trouble! Dave

Grounding Kits - Do they really help?
Thick audio wire makes just as good a job if you want to try it out before getting the bling. Just connect those o clip things and screw it on the different bits and too ground connection of battery. Dave

how do i check if my cambelts about to go?
Bloody hell Jeff! makes me sick thinking that a dealer could do that to someones pride and joy. Says it all really, and to think that joe bloggs takes his car there because main dealers 'can be trusted and know what they are on about'!Dave
