  1. Probably just the alternator belt needing tightning after they removed and put it back not tight enough, also it may have a bit of oil or something on it causing it to slip. Its quite easy to tighten, but they should definately do it for you seeing as you've paid them. My front belts (alternator, etc) screech for a few mins when I start up due to them being brittle and needing replacing.
  2. Is this so you can decide on engine crane or something like that?
  3. Can't imagine how it could get into the front of the sprockets from anywhere else? Those little screws break very easily if they are screwed in too hard, were they all ok?

    Fair one!
  5. Dunno! think it was because I'm a registered seller (from when I sold my old Zed). It gives me a (maximum) of 25p off of post and packing for any item. Ebay's generosity knows no bounds. Must have cost more than that for me to turn the computer on and read the email. Dave ps maybe I could sell it in the for sale section?
  6. ps - yami: FOUR zeds, you lucky lucky .....
  7. Thanks Marcus, we had a good afternoon there. Good to meet some of the other members as well. Great to see a few Zeds together, going to be good tomorrow. Hi to everyone and see you tomorrow at the shell garage for going to Ross. Dave
  8. F**k, send in the mob and get him to sort it!! Like the finish though, kind of jap drift!

    Northern Monkeys!!
  12. Might have been that guy on the 300zx forum. Can't remember his name but he's def got a Zed.
  13. Ap motors in Plympton ,Plymouth is very good mate. If you go to the UJCC (Ultimate Jap Car Club) website you'll find there number. They sponsor the forum, members get a discount. They did some stuff on my car and have high standards. Dave
  14. Would pmsl if I was driving one of them around all day.
  15. I'm on dial up so can't watch it but hate animal cruelty with a passion. Ar*eholes. Don't eat in those places much anyway but will avoid them even more now. Dave
  16. Stuck the skeleton back in the closet then?
  17. Yeah I'd love to have some AP ones, the price was the problem though. I'm surprised yours fade on the road. Even my stock ones never once faded on the road. I bought the brembos specifically due to the brakes being known to fade after hard use. It was the only thing on the car that needed doing really. It was proven a weakness at the trackday so I'm glad I got them. Maybe its your discs/pads or fluid that needs sorting? as they are good brakes. Dave
  18. Nope! the old one was black. This one is mmuuucccch faster.
  19. Still 3pm ish?
  20. Lol, can't sing but can try for you if you want.
  21. My old one did this ,but my new one doesn't. Sounded like a bloody bus! So does the horn now I think about it. meep meep!!
  22. Insurance is quite low for the type of car (group 18 I think) do a search as there as been lots of discussion lately and quotes. Handling is good for the size, lots of feedback and a good all round feel. Power is turbo auto 280hp manual 300hp, don't know what the NA is. Running costs are probably higher than the mr2 I'd imagine. 15-25 mpg depending on how its running/setup. Tyre front around 235-245, rears 245-wide ass which are quite expensive if you get the good ones (which you should)! Reliability depends on what you get, theres lots to go wrong but if you get a good one they are very reliable. Get an abused one and you'll have a nightmare. So good idea to buy off the forum if you can so you can check the history. Dave
  23. Do you mean on the track as well? I've never had a problem on the road but on the track day they would fade to nothing after five or six laps of hard braking. It's possible that the fluid needed changing, I don't know when it was last done.
