NZR mp3-cd-mp3
I think you need a plug in to get media player to do straight mp3's. It does wma by default which is almost the same but has extra bits (rights management and stuff?) and wont play on many mp3 players. I use 'easy CDDA' which does a good job. If you want a copy I can try posting it on sendfile or whatever. It might be mega slow for me though cause I'm on dial up at the moment.

Skyline raffle!!
http://domain839233.sites.fasthosts.com/forum//index.php?act=ST&f=23&t=11226&st=0#entry154897 I've just bought two tickets for a skyline raffle! Spoke to the guy on the phone and know the area he's lives so seems straight up and a nice bloke. He sent me some pictures of the car. I thought it was a good way of getting rid of the car. Make someone's day (hopefully mine!) and all that for a few quid. Only £40 if it wasn't genuine I guess. Looked it up in the skyline forums and the people on one of them know him. Dave

how do i check if my cambelts about to go?
What Legrath said. Yeah its a mission cause all the other bits stop the covers from coming off. Once you get it you just check for wear, see if you can see the teeth through the belt, etc. They should be changed every 60k at least, so if you are in any doubt then it should be done as its certain engine death if it goes! I don't reckon the garage would have looked at it,extremely unlikely in fact.

Erm if you want a serious answer then I genuinely think one of the best things for your average person is long walks in the hills/mountains, not easy in London I guess but worth a trip out in the Zed. you'll be knackered after only an afternoon if you've never done much before. Also swimming is great as its not concussive on your body and trains every part. I'm not a fan of swimming pools myself (stroke, turn, stroke, stroke, turn, yawn, etc I like the sea) but better than nothing.

I know Kung Fu!
Drink out of heavier pint glasses to get bigger arm muscles. Shout louder to improve lungs and jaw muscles. Always squat when you go to the bog to improve legs, and squeeze harder to improve pelvic floor. Fall out of bed on both sides to harden body. When you feel fit and ready start throwing yourself down the stairs. After 6 weeks of this you should be ready for your first white belt origami class. :x:  I'm available for fitness consultations at a reasonable rate. Also do programs in preperation for special events.

With respect to your bro but big weight body building is just not any good for most sports. Done properly as extra training to support whatever the sport is its good, but most people get sucked in by the 'get massive' syndrome. It just makes you big and unflexible and doesnt train your heart and lungs. Makes you look 'ard though so hopefully nobody will mess with you! Dave

Probs with my new Z, help needed
Good call, will save you hassel in the long run. Nissan dealers are a rip off, they just don't know anything about the Zed, especially the problems you get now that the car is a bit older. Those problems arn't in the workshop manual! Hope you are enjoying the car when it does go though. Sorry about the problems. Dave

Yeah, forgot about Muay Thai, got a lot of time for that. Proper hard core fighting, no messing about with Muay Thai. With reference to your Ninjitsu, bet it hurts when you try to burst through the walls! British brick is a bit harder than japanease paper walls Lol!!

Just had trout cooked over a fire in the garden with salad also from the garden. Aint life good?! I'm staying in Badminton, Gloucestershire. yet to find the best place for drowning myself. River Severn I suppose. No surf and no swimming, gonna have to get my adrenalin hits by driving Zed very fast I guess.

I know Kung Fu!
I've been doing various Martial arts for about 15yrs. Done pretty much everything at one point or another. Was heavily into Jeet Kune Do (Bruce Lees art) for many years. Now I mostly do Brazilian Jui Jitsu/No hold bars type stuff. I don't do it competitively mainly because I don't have the time to focus on it at the moment, but there's always a few Marines about at work who are willing to have a knock around. I represented the British Forces in Taikwondo at got a Bronze/silver (can't remember, bronze I think)in the British championships. I don't actually like taikwondo at all but it was either that or Karate in the forces and I didn't like the way the sparring is stop-start in karate after every point. Taikwondo is all kicks and the people who do it can rarely use their hands properly so I definately wouldn't recommend it. It also requires a high degree of stretching flexibility due to the high kicks (bunch of bloody balerina's). If you want to learn to fight as well as keep fit (why would you choose to do martial arts otherwise?) its worth keeping the following in mind: Someone who knows how to work on the ground (ie brazilian jui jitsu or judo) can ALWAYS nullify the skills of someone who only knows how to kick or punch. Punching and kicking require a high level of practice to keep sharp whereas groundwork while also requiring skill does not need so much practice to keep the techniques working as they should. Unless you're punched by mike tyson the chances are you can absorb a few. You can't absorb a good strangle or choke (you'll be unconsious in a few seconds) and you can't absorb a good lock (you'll snap in a few seconds and it hurts like hell!). Some people might disagree with some of this (especially the punching and kicking specialists) but I've done it and have had to use it and know the realities of it. The other great thing about ground fighting is you can go at it full tilt and not hurt each other. Most traditional martial arts either punch the air (waste of time), go semi contact (better but still a false sense of confidence), and/or punch pads (pads don't punch back....). So to answer the question, go for brazilian jui jitsu if you can find a good club or go for judo (which is a sport version of jui jitsu anyway, usually with less locks and other nasty stuff). Your fitness wont be an issue, you'll just be very knackered and maybe a bit bruised for the first few months. Dave

Nightmare!
Doing my evening email check! Takes bloody ages. Would get broadband but it isnt my house. We'll be getting our own place up here at the end of the year when I leave and broadband will be an essential. Especially seeing as I will be working in IT, would look a bit silly plugging my computer into the old red telephone boxes. Dave
