Maybe a bit of competition will make the prices we pay over here a bit more competitive as they certainly arnt competitive at the moment. On the other hand surfing equipment has gone up in price because there is such a big market now and its not just people who are dropping out and travelling the world on a a tuppence. My opinion is unchanged!

Its great to see the cars and all that, but I really don't want to see the Zed become well known. My personal opinion is that its better off as the not so well known almost cult car that it is. I believe things get spoiled once the masses get wind of them. I don't think its doing the jap car scene any good at all with the exposure its getting at the moment in mags like max power. When things are 'underground' they are loved by the enthusiasts, the average max-power reader is a thick boy-racer who has no interest in the technical workings of the car (just read the articles if you disagree with me). Maybe some of these kids grow up to be true enthusiasts later on, but while young they should stick to their Novas. Plus they are a little less likely to kill themselves or someone else while getting the inevitable 'lessons'. Its all a bit of a rant but lots of things that I've done have gone this way. Surfing used to be really great when it was only a few people out in the water and all happy to see each other. Now its just crazy crowds and agro, half of these people miss the point completely. All the pub and towny boys who used to take the piss out of me for being a surfer when I was little are now in the water causing agro because its cool to be a surfer all of a sudden. This is what I see happening with the jap car scene. Really not slagging off your post though Peach!, sorry mate just a bit of a raw nerve Dave

There's no way I'm signing on to that even to look at those lovely Zeds! Imo its very bad news thats Zeds are appearing in Maxpower. At least not many chavs can afford to even buy skylines and Supras but its still not doing those cars any good. If chavs start buying Zeds they push a whole load of even worse maintained cars back onto the market when they realise the reality of running one. They'll buy them, thrash them, wont maintain them and then sell them cause they can't afford to fix them, and theres enough poor condition Zeds around already. ps love the paint work on that top one, karl300zx

Bit of a long shot but thought I'd post this as there are lots of people in the industry. As most of you know I'm leaving the Marines in a couple of weeks and will be looking for work as above. I've been a network engineer within the Marines for 5yrs so have a fair amount of experience. I'm also CCNA, MCSA and currently working on my CCNP. I'm looking for work primarily in the South West around Bristol/Bath/Gloucestershire but will be willing to work anywhere if its worth my while for cash or experience. I'm doing all the usual things (jobserve,etc,etc) and have interviews coming up but thought I'd post in case anyone knows of anything. I figured the more possibilities the better. I hope they can do something with the next one mate, wouldn't be safe if you ended up in a wheelchair! So many of my mates in the Marines get fooked legs, and I've suffered pretty bad myself so have some idea how you must be feeling. Have they given you exercises to strengthen up all the connecting tissues or is it way past that? one of my mates who had a fooked knee that was beyond repair had to do lots of that. He went into civvy street on medical because of it , but he is actually able to do most things now after building the tendons and stuff up to support the knackered bones. Dave
