Watch out for the import tax, you may or may not get stung.

I'm surprised they never changed the clutch when the gearbox was replaced, that's bonkers as it was around 8 or 9 years old at the time, it's certainly lasted well considering it's been ran at higher bhp it's whole life. The uprated fork was fitted to try and get rid of the famous clunk the manual Zeds making usually at low speeds in 1st and 2nd gear, especially n bumpy ground, the clutch forks on these are quite soft so wear out creating movement and the clunk. I'm sure Ollie said the clunk was still there though after the gearbox/fork was fitted. Are you sure they didn't replace the clutch with the box? I still can't get my head round that ?

Yeah he did mate, brand new gearbox certainly wasn't cheap! It's had a ton of cash spent on it, once you do you work, it should be mint.

Doesn't look too bad, but you can never tell until they strip it, shame the sills are bent though, some idiot has gone in there and jacked it wrongly or something, always hated people doing that. When I had it up here it was only used during the summer and only then during dry weather 95% of the time, and it was clean, it's changed quite a bit on just a few years.

Interested to see the sill rust, how bad is it? Guess the procedure would be repair sills and any other bits that needed attention, fully undersealed then respray work. Not cheap but future proofed.

I think due to the fact the paint is around 14 years old it will be tricky to get a perfect match, I've seen 4 TK3 Zeds and all 4 seemed a slightly different shade. On one the rear end had been painted again and you could clearly see the difference, even though they had blown into other panels to blend. Maybe get one small area painted, and see how it matches ?

I'd always wondered about that pin stripe, but just left it alone ?

Silver is much better mate, good choice. No idea why Nexens are on the back though, bit mental, defo be better with Michelins, really needs good traction to get the power down ?

300ZX TT - A18GCK
Still feels like my baby lol ? If your after more power then new turbos for sure, that is still the original turbos, unless Oli had them changed?

Looking good mate. A shame that buckled wheel has ruined a diff, but at least it's sorted.......I had those diff bushes fitted a while back, will be in the huge file somewhere lol. How does that leather cleaner work, those seats are painted leather with lacquer over them, which should basically be liquid proof other than at the stitching?

300ZX TT - A18GCK
Damn bad luck about the diff bud, wonder if the buckled wheels have caused vibrations and damage? I know you like those wheels, I still prefer the others lol, hope you get them sorted though and back to smooth running soon enough. Used to be a great cruising car, smooth as you like on a long run, not a hint of a wobble, you will love it even more once sorted.

AC Compressor Replacement
You will love it ? I ended up buying a C63 AMG, so it's good fun as well ?

AC Compressor Replacement
I always wondered if the aftermarket version Z1 do for the US Z32 would fit the JDM Z32, or if you could modify pipes etc, to suit, Jimmer would know if that was possible. I was thinking of buying it back funnily enough, hadn't contacted Ollie but seen it online and was thinking about it, but it has went to a good owner ? I still prefer the wheels I had on it ?

AC Compressor Replacement
Hi mate, I'm the Scottish owner that had her for 6 years. She's been well looked after since coming to the UK around 2006 or so if memory serves me right. I had the AC compressor replaced with a used refurb item, I'm not sure if this is the one that failed on Ollie, or if he changed it again. Bearing in mind any used unit will be over 20 years old even with a refurb, I would buy a new one. Shame about the sills, they were good although that was over 2 years ago, something similar happened to my little Clio daily driver, went in for a timing belt and came back with both sills bent from poor jack/lift placement...not that they would admit it! Cheers, Daz

Hi Everyone - new 300zx TT owner here
Hi Naz, I'm the Scottish owner that had the car for around 6 years or so and sold to Ollie. It's had been well looked after by it's first Uk owner, I spent a few quid and also looked after it and Ollie carried this on. Nice to see it will carry on the same way ? I had the A/C compressor replaced with a used refurb item, possibly this one that failed unless Ollie changed it again. TBH I would buy a new one, as any second hand unit will be over 20 years old and refurb or not, I wouldn't trust.

Poorly running Z out of hibernation.
Check for any moist/wet connections, I think it is the temperature sensor that I had to sort after every winter on my car, with these sorts of issues.
-
Price fall?
All the traders I know are reporting the market is fairly dead just now.
-
What’s happened here?
Clean off all the oil, get the car running and see what leaks.
-
Another one bites the dust.
Not exactly a sad loss, I hate seeing stuff broken that doesn't need to be, that is just ****ed lol!
-
Damn
I'm a lurker like Alan above, and also Zedless, this club is sadly slowly dying.

Fitting a EBC and a stage 1 remap @ powerzed with Jimmer
I would always upgrade injectors, even if they are not running at near maximum duty it makes sense seeing as they are 20-25+ years old to replace them along with the fuel pump for safety and longevity reasons.

some folk are missing the point
Definitely over-priced, shame though as at some point someone has loved it. Most likely not for a while though, I wonder when it last had a decent service? The underside is what I like to see pictures off, rust oil leaks, worn suspension/bushes etc.

Electrical issues - continued - speedo, oil gauge, window washers
Are both bulbs the same age? If not replace both they do fade over time. If not, check the voltage at the plug both sides you would expect a difference.

What is the 300ZX worth these days?
Stick a Ford badge on it, 30 grand.

Misfire
Was it doing this before the work detailed above was completed?
